Should I take Oliver to hospital?

Oliver is 6 weeks old tomorrow.
Since Wednesday he has been very unsettled, always crying, seems to be in pain when pooing, hasn't been drinking as much milk (ebm & formula) and when he does drink he vomits it all back up.
Today he seems very "lifeless".. Eyes rolling, not responding to sounds, etc..
Should I take him to a&e?

Heather, TAKE HIM! Could you forgive yourself if something was really wrong?

Nurse here, bring your baby to hospital. A baby that small gets dehydrated very quickly, plus eyes rolling, unresponsive and vomiting, please get him checked out.

Are you frightened of A&E? Are you on your own? Is he still quite lifeless or improving? Lots of questions, sorry! Hope you're ok.

Gosh. This tiny baby really needs seeing by a doctor. Like yesterday!
Seriously. What can someone do over the phone? Not an examination. Not a diagnosis. And definitely not a treatment or iv fluids!
111 are a bloody waste of time and told my friend no ambulance was required when her DS had a seizure.
Please just go up to the a an e NOW. If Oliver is fine then it's a few hours out of your life. If he's not fine then you could be saving his life.

Take him in. Now. I'm not intending to scare you, but we had a "should I shouldn't I" with DS2. We took him, he arrested in the waiting room and had a heart op that night. Don't risk it, if we'd not gone in, he would have died.

111 involves interacting with a computer algorithm - it's function is to tell you where to go - he needs to see a Dr - you don't need a computer to tell you that - take him to A&E

Take him now, however you can get there. Call 999 if needs be. 999 is for life threatening situations, a lifeless non- responsive 6 week old is in a life threatening situation!

A&E now, they wouldn't consider this a waste of time at all.

If you haven't already please take him now, I posted a little while back about my ds who I felt wasn't 100% well. Luckily OH and I just happened to bump into a GP friend when we were out and it was his suggestion that we should by-pass out of hours and 111 and take him straight to the A & E at our local children's hospital so he could be properly checked over. Thank goodness we did, because had he not started treatment when he did he might not be with us today.
I was worried that we might be considered time-wasters but nothing could have been further from the case. Just go - hope he turns out to be absolutely fine.

Why phone 111 with a six WEEK old? Six month old perhaps but it's taken as given that newborns can deteriorate fast. Phone 999 or go to a&e. I hope you have already and he is fine OP.

I'm really shocked that 111 wouldn't get you an out of hours doctor appointment or send you to A+E.
I've called several times with DD since birth, even once when I was purely after advice as I knew she was ok but had a slight temp, and I have never not been sent to see someone straight away. They just don't want to risk it with babies.

I'd get him looked at straight away.
As a side note, he might have a dairy allergy as he sounds like what DD was like before it was diagnosed.
It may not be serious, but he should really be checked to be sure.

I hope you've seen someone today. I wouldn't take any chances with a 6 week old. No doctor is going to consider it a waste of time to check him out.

Yes a and e now honestly the Drs would rather you go down than not Ive been down over stuff that in hindsight I probably shouldn't have but they have always reassured me at ooh and and e its the right thing to do.
This is a and e level I would be going down now

Not seeking appropriate medical attention for your child is neglect. Call an ambulance if you can't physically get to the hospital.
