Dd is 10 she slept at grandparents last night and banged Her head ( picture fell off wall and toppled onto her when in bed, but we don't think it was a direct hit, IYSWIM. She has been off her food all day and had a head ache. She has been groaning for 2 hours saying she feels dreadful and has now vomited badly. She says she feels quite a bit better. My question is, does vomiting related to a bang on head follow this pattern ( ie v much like a bug, with a worsening tummy ache that goes after vomiting?). Her pupils are fine and colour returned to cheeks after vomit. She's not at all drowsy/ confused. Headache is moderate despite calpol.
Btw Her GM monitored her during the night and she ate breakfast as normal, but felt Ill by lunchtime. At home time she reported the headache to me.
No adult was present when her head was hit and dd be melodramatic so v hard to tell how hard the bang was. I only found out about the incident after school so am trying to evaluate how serious it was/ what to do now. Tbh, I was quite slow to link the tummy ache to the head bump, although I was aware of a slight headache.
Any advice? Should I take her to be checked out or just let her sleep?
