Joseph's ongoing journey with Neuroblastoma

I've lost count of the thread number now, but my 3 year old DS, Joseph, was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer called neuroblastoma last year.

Part-way through treatment he has relapsed (currently still clarifying that, but it's almost guaranteed) and at that point long-term survival is less than 5%.

He is beautiful and wonderful.

Oh, and I put forward your suggestions for our supported charity and they made the short list, but CLIC Sargent was voted for. So I'm sorry, but I think CLIC Sargent have a presence in LGI (?) so I hope joe will benefit in a small way from it. :)

What encouraging news; so glad to hear Smile

Trazzletoes · 18/05/2013 22:51

Fizzy thank you.

CLIC Sargent is a great charity. We don't have a huge amount of involvement with them but we do have some and they are fab. They also give a non means-tested grant to every family of a child diagnosed with cancer - money that is sorely needed on diagnosis for travel costs, additional childcare, food...

Thinking of you all.
Much love.

Hi Trazzles, hope you had a good weekend and gained some strength for whatever this week brings. No doubt the radiation therapy won't be a walk in the park but I hope it'll be bearable. I hope it doesn't involve any more long hospital stays and that you're still taking some comfort in the better news from last week.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 20/05/2013 22:06

Been thinking of you today trazzles and the phase to come. Back to crossing gingers and lighting my candle for Joe. Much love and Brew

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 20/05/2013 22:13

Trazzles,

I've lost touch recently but am overjoyed to hear the results of Joe's latest scans. I appreciate that there's still tough times ahead. I seem to remember that they rushed you in to get Joe measured up for his radiotherapy "just in case". Good job they did!

Hop he continues to get stronger and you get lots more happy family time together.

Xx
