We LOVE Julia Donaldson and have quite a collection of her books now. Can anyone recommend anything else that is as engaging for my 3YO?

I adore My Big Shouting Day by Rebecca Patterson

It's about a 3 year old having a bad day "And then my biscuit BROKE" absolutely gets into the mindset of a 3 year old and the illustrations are hilarious

I came here to write this! My 11 year old wanted me to read to her the other night and we picked this and still find it hilarious. It was too minty!
Also love aunt Amelia and paper dolls (although can’t get through it without tearing up a bit).
I’ll take you to Mrs Cole.
Piggy book.
Not now Bernard.

I was looking through the bookshelves a couple of days ago wondering if I could get rid of a few since the kids have long since grown out of them which is why I have these titles to mind. Obviously didn’t clear out anything!

'Where is Fred?' by Edward Hardy. Loved by both my children, it's really entertaining and (unlike lots of children's books) enjoyable for an adult to read, too!

'The Diddle that Dummed' by Kes Gray. My kids find it hilarious!

And YY to Hairy McClary.

already been mentioned but I second the elephant and piggie books, also anything by Jill Murphy, anything by the Ahlbergs.
Just remembered one called ‘this is not my hat’ which may be connected to ‘who stole my hat’ mentioned by a pp - funny and great illustrations.

The Wonky Donkey is a hit with class of 4-5yr olds. There's quite a few versions in the series

The 'How to hide a Lion' books by Helen Stephens, anything by Jon Klassen, anything by Oliver Jeffers, the 'Oi Frog' books by Kes Grey. These along with a number of Julia Donaldsons are the ones we have saved for incase of grandchildren.

The You Choose books are fab for sparking imagination, great for 3 year olds and beyond.
