Bedtime books for baby

Hello.

I have a 4 month old DD and have recently started a bedtime routine with a story. She really enjoys this and I'm worried she's already getting bored of the few books we're doing on rotation. I'm looking for recommendations for bedtime books please. We have Babies in the snow/farm/wild/forest and On the night you were born so far.

Many thanks!

My 18 month old absolutely loves the Julia Donaldson books. Especially the snail and the wale and room on the broom.

It's not a classic in the way some of the books above are, but one of the first books each of my 3 DC got interested in was a book called 'eyes, nose and toes peekaboo'. I think it's because it has chunky lift the flaps with pictures of babies with touchy feely bits so it's very relatable for a baby. (DC3 is currently 12 months and just starting to get interested in being read to). The 'that's not my' books are good for the same stage if you get one that matches their interests - so DC3 will listen to one about tractors but crawls off if I try and read one about e.g. unicorns.

We have quite a lot of the suggestions above (e.g. Each Peach Pear Plum, we're going on a bear hunt, the Snail and the Whale) and they are all lovely to read to a small baby / to an older child. Quite a few of the Julia Donaldson ones have been made into short films by the BBC, once they know the story the films work well too.
