Wow! It is fantastic isn't it? I'd forgotten how good it was!

Dd got some book vouchers for Christmas. Took her to get some books and found this. I bought it for me, and M reading it again. It wad my best boom ever when I was little, and it's still great now.

This version even has a bow on the cover! Dd hasn't even been able to get near it!

I've read. Gran-Nannie and found it very interesting indeed.

I also have one of her adult novels written under the pseudonym Susan Scarlett.

London Children’s Ballet is performing “Ballet Shoes” at The Peacock Theatre
4-7 July

Celebrating 25 years of fantastic productions, London Children’s Ballet return to the West End with an adaptation of a much loved classic. ‘Ballet Shoes’ is the enduring tale of the determined Fossil sisters, Pauline, Petrova and Posy, who vow to dance, act and engineer their ways into the history books. The production is filled with stunning and playful ensemble dance numbers and valuable life lessons, all portrayed by a young cast of the UK’s most talented young ballet dancers, aged 9-16 and set to a live orchestra. Designed to engage and inspire both boys and girls, LCB productions are an ideal way to introduce children to ballet and classical music.

Tickets still available for The Premiere Gala performance on 4th July.

For all Premiere Gala guests there will be a drinks reception in the interval and the foyers will be filled with treats and more for children and party bags for them to take home. It is a wonderful family evening out at the theatre, and the ballet is crafted to appeal to boys, girls and parents alike.

The theatre waives its commission for one night only, so 100% of the proceeds from the Premiere Gala go to LCB's charitable work with disadvantaged and isolated young people and elderly. Through the generous support of those who give to LCB, the charity will touch the lives of more than 11,000 people over the year ahead.

For this special 25th Anniversary, Noel Streatfeild’s 1936 novel is newly adapted for the stage by Birmingham Royal Ballet first artist, and former London Children’s Ballet performer, Ruth Brill.
