I was following the debate but never did get around to posting on that thread. I've been on MN for over a decade and am a serial name changer but hugely grateful for this space and to those who made the case for it. I will be pinning down this identity for all childfree chat.

Thank you for this board. Found mumsnet actually via the relationship board and help with online dating. Then went onto the conception boards etc but life didn't go in that direction and I haven't been able to find another internet home with people who I thought would understand my life. Going to hang out here!

I'm pleased it's here and intrigued by mentions on other threads of posters who were vehemently against it - makes me itch to read the debate, if I knew where to find it! 🍿

I still laugh when I think about the post(s) that wanted to give us a six-month trial to see if we behaved ourselves.

And the classic post warning of the threat of incels and antinatalists invading MN if this thread were to be created.
