Go on, put me out of my misery: how much for a nanny outside London, all inc?

Baby won't settle at nursery; I'm harbouring fantasies of a lovely lady who loves babies riding in and saving the day. But I suspect I won't be able to afford it.

So how much for a live-out nanny? In the sticks. What else (tax, insurance, expenses etc) do I need to consider?

Put me out of my misery please so I can just get on with the screaming at nursery...

TIA

WS - I have heard the term "nice hours" from so many nannies that yes, it will definitely be a draw for your ad.

You're not exploiting anyone by offering them a lower wage. If they think it's worth it then that's their decision. If it's not enough then they won't apply.

nice hours are great BUT I wouldnt be able to cope on 9-5 if on a hourly rate

but sure there are nannies who are say mums as well, and would love to be able to do a shorter day, and then be home for their own childs tea time, bath etc
