Hi all,

I transferred over my payment via BACS from my bank account to the TFC account first thing on Sunday morning. The website says

<<The quickest way to do this is by paying from your bank account
Set up a standing order or make a one off deposit from your bank account. This should usually show as cleared funds in your childcare account within 2 hours but can sometimes take up to 24 hours.>>

However it's been 48hrs! I'm assuming this is because of the bank holiday/weekend... Has it worked for anyone else? I'm stressing that my money has gone walkies - I've double checked and the account details/reference number are all correct.

It's because if the bank Holiday, you should see it in thee at some point today or tomorrow. I tend to just transfer the money over from my bank account on a Monday morning after 9 and it tends to go in the same day.

Sorry forgot to add, if I transfer on a weekend it won't go in till late Monday or sometimes Tuesday

I find it normally works fine over the weekend but there's a delay in mine from this weekend and that hasn't cleared still.

This is why some providers won't take it. You need to do it before the weekend to be sure.

Came here to post the same thing this morning - transferred over the BH weekend and nothing showing up. Checked again this morning and still nothing there. Tried phone line but got an automated message that they can't take any more calls and to try again later...

Let the nursery know. There's a glitch somewhere if all the call lines are busy so you won't be the only people experiencing the issue.

Same! Was just about to start a thread myself panicking as I've transferred over £500 and it's showing as gone out of my bank account but not cleared in my tax free account. Glad it's not just me!

I've also just tried calling them and an automated message said they're too busy to take the call and then it hung up on me 😬 helpful!

We are in the same boat. HMRC Customer Services on Twitter are responding to queries saying that the delay has been caused by the BH but payments should appear by tomorrow.

I hadn’t realised until our childminder told me that it takes several days to reach her account once I transfer from the tax free account as well - having to arrange the payment way in advance of deadline date to account for all the delays.

I also am not seeing the money. First month I tried the bank transfer option. Rubbish!

The seperate money I paid in via my card for wrap around clubs has cleared! So will stick to that method in future!

I can’t get in to check! I’ve had to pay our childminder directly from our bank account this
month and I’ll recoup the 20% next month. So annoying.

Sorry to change the topic on this slightly but I'm due back to work this month and am starting to use this for the first time. So I have 200 to pay the creche for the first week.. do I transfer 200 or 160 and they will add the 40?

Yeah I did, it's so frustrating when things don't work as they should! Have you managed to get it to work today?
