Morning all. My son is still asleep YAY! He's been 5.30am for ages.

Crumpets again today I think.

Why has it been so quiet recently? Are you all hibernating?!

Hi Shoshalite, I explained why I needed the 4 weeks (I told her that I would have to give it her if I was deciding to give up) and she came round. I works both ways most jobs you give them a month's notice if you were leaving and vise versa don't you?

Anyway, Suretstart rang yesterday about possible respite care for a 13 mth old, I went with the co-ordinator to take him to a Surestart creche that he goes to each wed and I'll now be having him for 10 days which suits me. The Mum is off sick with a very bad back and is struggling to look after him. It will be 10 days to start with and if he settles and she likes me it may be a bit longer.

So that has really boosted my confidence, I thought I was having to look for work elsewhere and it was worrying me as I have my own 5 yr old to think about childcarewise, I don't have any family near and I would have to find work that paid very well to pay a childminder.

Christmas might not be as miserable after all for the kids.
