Nanny out of order? I am furious.

I have just had to nip out of work on an errand and have passed my nanny at a nearby bustop, which is on a very busy road. My beloved DC was with her but holding the hand of a woman who I have never seen before in my life (I am presuming it will turn out to be the nannies mother). I am absolutely furious about this on so many levels...why is she with her mother when she should be at work focusing on my DC?...why is she making the judgement that someone other than her is allowed to touch my DS precious little hand and keep him safe?...please help me to focus and to figure out how to approach the subject when I get in tonight.

I'm with getting real. Perhaps the OP has overreacted a bit but "my DC's precious little hand" is just emotion talking. She was clearly surprised and upset.

I wouldn't like to see my DC holding the hand of a total stranger on a busy road. Perhaps she'll calm down and talk it through with the nanny, but some of the comments on this thread are really awful.
