when did u get your periods back?

Had dd2 9 weeks ago, breastfed for 4 weeks, but still havent got periods back... Cant remember how long it took with dd1...

Anyone know? when did u get yours?

(had c-section, does thaty make a difference?)

bf exclu for 6 months and continued bf with food up until 8 months then stopped, periods started 4 weeks after i stopped so around 9 months after baby was born... was a bit of a shock to get them at first! Very heavy, took a few months to settle then they were perfect. b4 having a baby i had heavy periods for 7 days, after having dd they were light, lasted four days and very regular :)

had dd jan 05, bf for 1 year and am preg again....never did get my periods back! very funny at ante-natal checks when they ask the date of LMP and i say 12-4-04!

BF for 11mths then got first period 2 months after that, very heavy.Still not regular

BF for 14 months, but had first period after 11. Am now pg again though, so have only had one since ds was born (15 months)

Plan on bfing for as long as poss next time, so I keep em at bay!

I bottle fed and had c section. Bled for 8 weeks non stop after birth. Had no bleeding for 4 weeks, then had first period.

About 4 weeks after phasing out single remaining daily breastfeed at 14 months. Pregnant again 3 weeks after that!

mine have still not returned - ds is 7m, breastfed but sleeping through. don't want to stop bf but want to ttc!

DD is nearly 14 months. Still bf (2 feeds a day) periods came back when she was 9 months - had cut bf down by that time. Had shock at first period too - wondered what it was at first! Still only had a four periods since october. Boobs have practically disappeared. Thought this happened when you gave up bf. Has this happened to anyone else?

Did not retun until i stopped bf when DD was 18months old and then they came back with a vengence

Clure my boobs are tiny with my 3rd and she still feeds all the time, there is no mad gushing like there was wi other. i will def need a boob job when i stop bfing

BFed until baby was early 9 months old, first period came back when baby was 11 months. :) ...however after Caesarean, I was bleeding for 6 weeks!

After both my kids had periods 4 wks to the day they were born - and I fully breastfed them both!! You could have been ovulating already - sure you're not expecting again?!? (only ask cos this happened to a friend of mine - she was pregnant again 10 wks after giving birth)
