I have had 3 sections, thought I was cool with it but why do I feel well, deflated when I hear of another friend having a normal delivery?

When talking about my friend's delivery I should of course have added that I was delighted for her that she had a fab birth and a gorgeous daughter

I like orangina's dentist analogy - this is as someone who had a wisdom tooth that was causing a lot of discomfort out recently. My bf kept saying things like "Well, I've never had any problems with my wisdom teeth" in a suspicious tone, as if I was inventing the whole thing so I could have an afternoon in hospital

Same bf is pregnant for the first time and keeping up a continuous monologue of "I'm so exhausted, I can't eat this, I can't eat that, no of course I can't come to the party ... I'm pregnant".

I certainly didn't find pregnancy so debilitating. But I say nothing. We all experience things differently. 'tis not a competition [trite but true emoticon]

mooseheart - if its any consolation, i believe that many women who have never had a VD still have problems " down there" which are pg or age related eg stress incontinence

so you dont need to feel too

it gets you one way or another

Mooseheart · 22/01/2009 20:50

Oh really? That does make me feel better. Cheers Kristina.

I felt very sad after my third cs. I even had a thread about it (new name since). I had wanted a VBAC, but it wasn't to be, and in some ways I wish I had never tried for one, because my middle childs planned cs was the best. I sobbed my heart out through this last one.

I do feel better than I did, though.I just sort of zone out childbirth conversations.

for example, this study shows that women who had 3 or more CS has a similar prevalence of incontinence to those with a SVD

hi, I went to mr obs today and I will have an elective c-section on Monday at 37+4... the reasons are that my baby is too small,I was scheduled for a c-section anyway due to having a high risk pregnancy... but i am very worried that it is a bit to early and my hubby wants us to wait for another week. I am so confused and a bit stressed! help

I'm starting to meditate such people out of my life. Ohhhmmmmmmmm

Misscampbell please don't get stressed, get all the information together again, talk to a midwife and not the consultant who will be able to explain the reasons for an early cs in probably a more sympathetic way, take dh along so he can listen too. Don't panic. If you want some more support feel free to start a new thread and the collective power and wisdom on MN will help you through. Good luck.
