Did anyone/is anyone planning to do any, um, topiary before the birth?

Just wondered if there was a general norm when it comes to this?

I normally keep it short myself, but it's a bit tricky at the moment. What is everyone else planning to do? (namechangers welcome!)

Midwives have seen EVERYTHING. Women with worms, crabs, piercings, poohing everywhere, you name it, they've seen it. Don't worry about their sensitivities! (very polite of you to worry, though )

I'm sure I got the clippers out and a mirror, it's not that hard really. I wouldn't do it with scissors in a mirror though, that'd end in tears!

I (due to the persuasive powers of MN) had a pedicure and bikini wax the day before dd was born

No-one passed comment but it was nice not to have to think about it for the following few weeks...

Thought about a wax, but then thought. Well, if the issue is showing strangers your pubes then I suppose the waxing itself would be no better because that's still showing a stranger your pubes.

I am currently 37+3 and am booked to have my legs and bikini line done on Monday as things haven't been touched down there (so to speak) for about 4 months

am having mine done (waxed) as last time for emcs the hosp staff had to do it - mortifying in itself but the regrowth wasn't pleasant either [meep]

I regularly give mine a trim with clippers. I will give it a 'clip', prior to birth.

I've been thinking about this lately! So I used this this morning. On the packet it says for bikini area use too, even though the link just says legs.

I normally wax, but feeling much too large to bare all to a slim young thing at my local beauty place. Also, I thought this way I couldn't cut myself. It was great stuff, worked quickly, not sore and didn't smell. (About £5)

oohhh becareful with the veet unless you're more adept at it than me, I felt the need to tidy prior to dd1 and just threw some in general direction (remembering please I hadn't seen the ole lady garden for months at that point) it meritted me some very strange looks from the staff and am not surprised when I finally saw it - it looked like a bit of a car crash effort

I am probably more bare than I usually go....but that will save me being shaved if I need an emergency CS! It's just so nice not to have a forest down there anymore - not that I can see it...

am lucky to have a regular lady (who is herself brazilian but doesn't force anything more than you want lol) and she's already booked in to see me prior to this one arriving

Am I the only one to find bikini waxes TOTAL AGONY?

Legs no problem but bikini wax....I have tried getting pissed first but even that is not the answer...

I don't mind either bikini or legs but have been having them done for years, underarms - no need, no need at all [meep]

I always go for a full on wax as I think if i needed an emergency c section I don't want them rushing with a bic razor!

Is nice after too as feels a bit cleaner!

DH has promised to help with mine tonight, I'm 34 wks and havent done it at all since pregnant, now I can't bloody well see it anyway. Its sooo bad it actually stopped me going swimming this morning as I would have been too embarrassed to wear my cossie with ginger spiders legs creeping (well, more like sprinting) out of the side

The last wax i had gave me huge blood blisters! Beautician wouldn't do the other side! Tried veet, but it itches soooo much when growing back....
