Baby feels very low in pelvis - does it mean she’s going to come early?

I’m 35 weeks and since about 29 weeks on and off I’ve felt like my baby is very low in my pelvis, it’s very uncomfortable when I walk and feel like I need to pee all the time, feels very heavy like she might fall out! But then she moves and it doesn’t feel like that anymore. Does this mean she is likely to come early?

this is my second baby and I don’t remember this feeling with my first. He was a planned c section at 39 weeks and I never went into labour.

My 1st felt like he was going to fall out whenever I walked. Then he would move up again. And repeat. Midwives anlways said he was very low. Ended up with an emergency CS as he got stuck!

Did you make it past Christmas?

Well… she did come early but only one day ahead of my planned CS!

I was due to have the CS on Friday but started getting contractions on Boxing Day, so went in and had my CS then.

no niggles at all on Christmas Day, so I was surprised it happened the next day. In hindsight in the few days prior I do remember her feeling even lower in my pelvis, felt like she was lower than my first c section scar, so she must’ve been engaged then but I didn’t realise.

how’s everyone getting on?

Ahhh congratulations! How come you had a section out of interest?
No signs here! 39 plus 5 today and very fed up.

@Elisabeth3468 i just didn’t want to do labour due to various reasons - with my first baby I chose a c section because we’d had previous miscarriages and I wanted to get him here as safely as possible. And with this one it was the same reasons but also because I’d had a c section already and vbac is more risky. Plus, my c sections have both been good experiences and recovery has been straightforward x

@Elisabeth3468 also with a vaginal birth I’ve always been scared of severe tearing, pain, baby getting into distress/brain damage/long term birth injuries for mother and or baby. A planned c section virtually eliminates most of those risks.

good luck, hope your baby makes an appearance soon! Xx
