hi lulu, was not ignoring your post - have only just seen it.
I'm an artist and get work on a temporary contract basis, which means i can't get regular childcare so have to find lovely childminders who are prepared for me to call and say can you keep dd for tues and wed next week, then not call again for a month! luckily, i've found someone who will do this, but i'm not sure how long for. if she finds more regular clients, (she's only just starting out) i may be stuffed.
re: michel odent. he is very romantic isn't he?
i'd certainly be distrcted if he was in the room while i was giving birth. would want to look and be fabulous for his approval!

Lulu - what were the pros of the Childbirth International course for you? I looked into that, too. It would be much quicker for me than the NCT course, but I was swayed by the 'officaldom' of the NCT course & the fact that it gives you a Dip HE at the end.

hi WTSS.. i have a CM who does that for me, but she took on an extra mindee, so cannot have DD two days a week.. but i understand she needs to make her living ! something will work out. how wonderful to be artistic.. creativity is wonderful .

mrsm.. i do not wish to be tied to the NCT , i do not want a dip HE, i know the birthy stuff, i need to learn how to teach ! and the CBI can be done as quick as you want. Also , i could not committ to the 4 weekends away and the weekly tutorials, as i don;t have enought childcare.. and the cost was too high for me. and i found the NCT head office hard to deal with. so i thought CBI would suit better

Lulumama · 07/02/2008 19:19

i saw that pruni! mais oui, c'est un homme formidable, ooooh la la!

workstostaysane · 07/02/2008 19:32

i think giving birth was the most creative thing i've ever done.
can't wait to do it again.

Lulumama · 07/02/2008 19:32

are you going to do anything artistic/ creative with the birth experience? i saw some amazing images on here of someone's placenta..

MrsMattie · 07/02/2008 20:05

Fair points@Lulumama - I've found the NCT head office a nightmare too, to be honest. We'll see...

Lulumama · 07/02/2008 20:16
