Induction

Went for a growth scan today and baby has dropped massively off the growth chart compared to where she was. They've now suggested an induction at 37+3 (currently 36) and i just couldn't stop crying. Is this normal? I feel awful and really didn't want to be induced, especially early! Can i have some positive induction stories please? Or anything.. words of wisdom!?!

I can imagine, I was the same! I remember crying in the ward about it.

I was hoping silence was positive. Sorry to hear you're still there.

I will definitely be keeping this thread updated, even if its just a place to vent! Still waiting of course. Been here since 5pm saturday night now and i'm seriously missing my daughter, my partner has come through the day but i've sent him home at night as it's pointless us both being uncomfortable.
Spoke to the midwife i had when i delivered my daughter and she said i should hopefully be moving soon but i'm not expecting muchSad

RandomMess · 05/01/2021 13:30

Urgh very frustrating.

Once they got me into labour it was very quick!!! Plus I didn't push my body just did it.

Hope things are progressing Thanks

Ahorsecalledseptember · 05/01/2021 14:56

Covid has stopped that hello, I was on my own until my waters broke too Sad

Sending you a socially distanced hug, OP.

That's good news. Is your partner with you now? Keeping everything crossed for you and hoping your onboard passenger copes okay with the oxytocin.

WhoLettheCatOut · 05/01/2021 16:29

Thinking of you OP and looking forward to good news.
