I have no idea really, I ended up being induced all 4 times - my bishops score was 1 (really really bad) 6 hours after the first lot of induction gel at 42 weeks with my 4th - I've never had braxton hicks at all. Believe me 1-2cm dilated and braxton hicks is very positive and you have 5 more days yet - loads of time for everything to change!

My sweeps were absolutely agony my cervix was so unready so if your were okay than that's a really good sign too.

remember talking about this with someone on my antenatal when we there only 2 buggers left on the thread!

while you are waiting...mine came at 42 weeks exactly and I got my homebirth!

Lots of sex and being very enthusiastic at aquanatal did the trick!

sex did it for me all 3 times - and #3 was three weeks early. Oops sorry shouldn't have said that to someone overdue .

With dd1 i was like you having pains period like had a sweep was 1 cm things started in the night. This time i had lots of sweeps but sod all happened. Had induction and after second gel dd2 was born after 2 hours 45 mins with just gas and air can't wait for next one!
