How much time passed between them telling you that you needed one, and actually getting into the operation room and starting the procedure?

12 minutes. Extremely scary. So very lucky that me and my boy are here to tell the tale and extremely grateful to the amazing staff that looked after us.

I went into gyny as a precautionary measure at about 37 weeks as I noticed no movement after a particularly stressful day (moving house). It took them a while to eventually find a week, faint heartbeat. Was told straight upstairs for an emergency section. I had to wait about an hour as someone was already in the theatre. Thankfully all ended well, big strapping lad he is now.

An hour from decision to theatre. It didn't feel like long after the previous 5 days of failed induction!

I'm very hazy on actual timings and details but i was already in theatre for an attempted (and failed) ventouse. But DH remembers them saying "that's it, get the baby out now" everyone jumped into action and the midwife pushed DD back up from below so that the consultant could get her out. It's on my notes as a category one and i think from decision to birth can only be a few minutes.

DS was an unstable lie and I was kept in on the ante natal ward. I was told that if my waters went there was a risk of cord prolapse and they would need to get him out within 7 minutes. Thankfully it didn't come to that!

About 10-15 mins. DT1 got stuck after me pushing for a bit.
Already had epidural in so they just topped it up and wheeled me down corridor.
DH ended up being sat next to the partner of the 1st booked section for that day who I leap frogged and listened to him complaining about the so called emergency which had bumped them down.
He was then called into theatre and sort of just turned and shrugged at him!

Within 10 minutes they took me to theatre

All three emergencies were less than 30 mins from decision being made to baby being born. I wasn’t expecting a c section on any of the occasions I went into hospital either. For my fourth, my only elective, I sat around all day waiting.
