I think I'm having contractions? Am I having this baby tonight???

I am 41+1
Had 2 sweeps
Last sweep = Monday 25th = 3cm dilated and ready to go.
Have been having what I'm guessing are contractions since 20 past midnight - but how do I know if it's the real thing?

ok this is going to be quick!
Having contractions 4 mins apart - 40 secs long
Got tens on
I think were rocking and rolling FINALLY!
Had a check at hosp this afternoon (everything had stopped) and was given a sweep that felt more like - sexual abuse with a freekin pineapple! - but it did the trick - I've been having contractions ever since.
Had some paracetamol and the pain is bearable - not sure how long to leave it cos I know my pain threshold is quite high (when I broke my pelvis A&E thought I'd just brused my femur - until they xrayed me!

Baby Edward Charles Eric has finally arrived! 10:15 this morning, 8lbs. had to be dragged into the world. Iam still enjoying the spinal block so can't feel the stitches yet!
