I am 41+1
Had 2 sweeps
Last sweep = Monday 25th = 3cm dilated and ready to go.
Have been having what I'm guessing are contractions since 20 past midnight - but how do I know if it's the real thing?
Help

Oooohh not heard from DKMYFME since 10am, I wonder if its all kicked off.... so exciting

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 29/06/2007 16:10

Well I'm trying to keep busy and not focus on my dwindling twinges too much. So I've been pottering about the house, eating, drinking, dead heading the roses, reading a magazine etc!

Arghggggggg - It's so hard not to think about what is going on with my body and when I'll get to meet my baby!??

Thank you so much for all the support! Sorry if I have got everyone excited over a possible false alarm?

I'll be leaving my computer on so I can dip in and out for updates etc. Dunno what I'd do without MN? Thank you!

Oh, I bet you are getting really kranky now chin up, it can't be long surely

MarsLady · 29/06/2007 16:38

Have you got any photos to sort? I find that projects help the time pass!

Don't worry honey. It's not a false alarm. It's just moving gently along!

lulumama · 29/06/2007 17:01

repack your bag

go and look at the baby;s things, the tiny babygros, the tiny nappies, and remember what all this is about !

Klaw · 29/06/2007 17:12

DKMA did you watch Domestic Grumpess's journey to birth? I hope so cause it should give you inspiration

Stay strong

Lolly68 · 29/06/2007 17:20

It is definately not a false alarm. You will be probably be at the hospital at midnight tonight!! Good luck.

lulumama · 30/06/2007 08:13

so, where is DKMAFME up to this morning?

foxybrown · 30/06/2007 09:56

She's gone very quiet

Where are you DKMA?????

Blue moon today - am expecting the last of us to simultaneously go into labour and bid a fond farewell to June 07 AN thread, leaving it all nice and tidy.

calordan · 30/06/2007 10:21

dont believe in false alarms, just contractions that are doing a different job, can you eat something? And if you really want to kick start, nipple stimulation, sets off biggish contractions and bit more comfy than sex

daisyboo · 30/06/2007 13:33

she's maybe off riding her horse as a last ditch attempt to get things moving LOL

lulumama · 30/06/2007 13:39

full moon is good for birthing

c'mon ladies, have nothing planned this afternoon, you can keep me busy !!

foxybrown · 30/06/2007 13:43

I'm blardy well trying!!!

Mango juice smoothy, curry last night, caulphyllium, bouncing on my ball, pineapple, dancing (oh where's my dignity?)...

I even visualised my contractions "hugging the baby, increasing sensations" as per hypnotheraphy CD and my flower-like cervix opening.

DP bribed with brekkie this morning to put out tonight... there's nothing left is there??

lulumama · 30/06/2007 13:50

foxy, you have covered all bases

permission granted to go to bed and cry!

foxybrown · 30/06/2007 13:58

chance would be a fine thing ...

so whats the mathematical probability of having the baby this weekend if:

DS1 & DS2 were on the day, DD 10 days late, what are the chances of this one, also being a girl being late? Given that today is a blue moon, I have a social engagement tomorrow and my favourite MW is on call tomorrow night?!

Yes, I am bored!

Where IS DKMA?????

lulumama · 30/06/2007 14:13

the odds are about

look, i;m a doula, not a psychic, but i reckon you are going to have this baby

really

quite

soon

foxybrown · 30/06/2007 14:28

LOL!

Suppose I could clean the skirting boards...

and I had a sweep on Thursday.

hmm, might go and eat the biscuits I got in for the MWs!

MrsFish · 30/06/2007 15:00

It's looking hopeful...

Saturn74 · 30/06/2007 15:02

Really quite soon, you say, Lulumama?
If your prediction comes true, you are almost a bona fide psychic.

lulumama · 30/06/2007 15:15
foxybrown · 30/06/2007 16:38

you might be more psychic that you think

have had too many false alarms this week - but don't want to hijack DKMA's thread.

just waiting to see if I need to start my own. One way to liven up a wet Saturday afternoon

Look out for me, won't you?!

SurferRosa · 30/06/2007 16:41

I ate all the eclairs intended for midwives

They weren't here very long, I'd imagined them camping out for days!

SurferRosa · 30/06/2007 16:42

midwives I mean ...though eclairs weren't here for long either.

MarsLady · 30/06/2007 16:53

surfer and foxy... independently mind.... go twiddle with your nipples!

foxybrown · 30/06/2007 16:58

better finish doing the kids tea first I think!
