Been having contractions since 6.54, lasting over a minute, getting closer.

Labour ward said give it an hour and ring again and they might think about sending some one out, Doula is out somewhere but have left a message...

Ok times. 6.54, 7.03, 7.11, 7.15, 7.20, 7.24, 7.28, 7.31...just waiting for another one!!!

Still no waters or show that I've noticed...

Very painful but not beyond the realms of coping!

Just thought I'd let you know. Does this sound like it might be the real thing?

flightattendant · 13/06/2007 08:12

MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow so many messages!!!!! Brilliant, girls I think your support must have seen me through

Well the MW got here about 8.45, then friend, then finally Doula! Things were getting faster, well it was just every 2 or 3 mins, she said at about 9 o'clock that I was 3-4cm.

Anyway it just went mad from then, went and tried bath, got out after a few more, there wasn't really time for anything though I was begging for some kind of pain relief or just a nice blow to the head with a mallet, really...I said 'Is there any chance of a transfer and an epidural?' and she goes, in this Irish accent, 'Two possible answers to that. Bob Hope, and No Hope!!!'

Transition came at about 9.45, I won't go into how bad it was as I don't want to scare all you still'waiting ladies!!

But baby was finally born at 10.32, with no pain relief whatsoever (ARRGGHHH!!!) - Not that I'd any choice, it was so quick - and would have taken anything on offer really

He was born OP and they didn't know until he was halfway out. I bled quite a lot for a minute and they had to give me synto but it was Ok, didn't care by then...

anyway that's our news and thanks so much for being there, wish I could have kept posting but it all went a bit fast!!

Speak soon
FA xx

Oh oops he was 8lb 10, for those of you who were guessing! And a fine handsome little boy.
