Been having contractions since 6.54, lasting over a minute, getting closer.

Labour ward said give it an hour and ring again and they might think about sending some one out, Doula is out somewhere but have left a message...

Ok times. 6.54, 7.03, 7.11, 7.15, 7.20, 7.24, 7.28, 7.31...just waiting for another one!!!

Still no waters or show that I've noticed...

Very painful but not beyond the realms of coping!

Just thought I'd let you know. Does this sound like it might be the real thing?

So when do I call the midwives again? They said not till it's regular at every 3 minutes and unbearable. TBH I don't know if I'll be able to call them by then.

DS is helping me...we laughed through the last one as I was making such funny noises

That actually helped! (he's 4 bless him)

Mum's at Sainsburys. I just hope baby doesn't decide to arrive before anyone is around!

i would prob call the mw now, just to be on the safe side.

susue · 12/06/2007 07:52

Just to say good luck flightattendent. If you feel you need a midwife there then call them, you may want a bit of gas and air to help. As carol3 said sometimes it's not the timing it's the strength of them. Glad to hear you have a doula, I'm sure you'll relax more as soon as she comes through the door! I'll be watching this thread,

beckmo · 12/06/2007 07:54
