i write this on my hands and knees, arse in the air.. have let dp have a kip as he couldnt keep his eyes open and I figure he has to drive at some point..

started getting contractions at 0130 Monday morning - very exciting - they were coming nice and regular, every 8 mins or so and things were looking good. Its my first and I was due saturday so sunday night/monday morning was too good to be true. Carried on until around 6am monday when I managed to drop off. woke at 9am and they had all but stopped, so was slightly gutted, but pleased I had got some rest. Warm baths, TENS etc all helped greatly. Started again Monday afternoon but didnt get the regularity, they varied greatly from 5mins to 20 mins.. went to M&S, had baths, massages, bopping around kitchen etc etc. Then my god it started hurting. Got more and more regular and then at 3am this morning I went from every 6 mins to every 2 minutes, so after an hour of very intense pain every 2 mins decided to go into hospital only to be sent home again as I was only TWO BLOODY CMs.

Have been home since 5am, been in bath and taken co-dydramol, and thankfully the bath slowed them right down and I slept for 30mins, but im SO TIRED i dobt know what to do, cant bear this pain much longer, scared really that im going to cave in and ask to be admitted and given whatever drugs they farking have...

i know no one will have a miracle cure for me, but please send me some nice opening vibes, this is driving me mental. Ive kind of given myself til midday, and if i cant take it much longer I am thinking about handing myself over for pethidine.

and breath.

Perhaps some fresh cakes are in order? Need to go to Tesco. Will come back with some Krispy Kremes. Just don't tell the May 07 lot, or they'll be snaffled before I get back.

I stewed up some rhubarb earlier, anyone fancy some crumble while we are waiting?

Considering there's been no news for ages, this is a gripping thread! I remember it well and am sympathising, my early labour went on for 5 days. Just hoping my next one in July won't take so long...

lulumama · 23/05/2007 17:41

can i just have some crumble, no fruit..not a fan of rhubarb!

twelveyeargap · 23/05/2007 17:54

Lulu, you do know about FannieAnnie's show don't you? We need you over there to make things 'official'.

Katy44 · 23/05/2007 18:08

Good point Sugarfree (can you have cake with a name like that?) I didn't feel I was officially in labour until lulumama was on my "is this it?" thread

Sugarfree · 23/05/2007 18:13

Oh,yes Katy,in fact the only person who likes cake more than me is FilthyMindedVixen, who's name should really be CreamTeasRUs.

lulumama · 23/05/2007 18:37

deestingsduznotappen · 23/05/2007 18:40

Good luck to Red!

Oh these threads, - seem to be obsessed with them.

Lulu, you invited me to email you re birth experience - said you could help me deal with it, - and also said you were nosey! If both/either are still true could I please have your address again?

Katy44 · 24/05/2007 08:27

I know, I'm trying to stay off it, not good for the waistline!

Sugarfree · 24/05/2007 08:36

Katy44 · 24/05/2007 08:41

Thanks but that's a bit too far in the other direction - I'm not planning anything drastic like EXERCISE

HonoriaGlossop · 24/05/2007 09:21

me too. I am having flashbacks and imagining that she is having MY labour eg she is probably actually still in labour after all these days I do hope not!

mrsmalumbas · 24/05/2007 12:54

Ladies I think we should throw open the windows to let some fresh air in and all go home for a shower. A watched pot never boils and all that. Am sure RK is doing fine, although she will probably be pissed off to find she has missed all the cake.

lulumama · 24/05/2007 14:05

agreed......

and i need a showe
