When you had your c-section did you have....

injections or stockings?
I didn't have either with dd1 (7) and only had injections with dd2(5) when they suspected DVT just been reading on another thread most people had either or both and wondered if it was a recent thing?

I had stockings with ds 2001 and injections with dd 2004 but they were also in different hospitals so just put it down to the different health authorities

Neither with DD in 2006, was mobile after 24 hours.

After reading that thread how worried was I!

how often did you get them? i didn't have them. had stockings but couldn't keep them on

I hjad the injections, 5 over 5 days for blood thinning I think, but no stockings. I onyl found out the other day you're meant to sign a consent form, but mine was an emergency c/s, so assume it was too late for paperwork...?

No injections (I don't think so, anyway). I may have had stockings, but don't remember. In 2005.

I had pains in my thighs after 2 days and had a procession of people proding my legs all concerned

Both in 2006, the injections scarred!

I was in hospital for 3 weeks due to my dd being in ITU, they let me stay in the maternity ward in a side room & I had to convince them that I didn't need the injections anymore as I could have gone home a long time ago!! They knew me pretty well by this point, as I was upstairs more than down they used to jab me every time they saw me! usually in the arm or leg, I was needle phobic but after all that couldn't care less anymore!

so seems to be more recently then? (mine ebing 1999/2001)
It was Fragmin I had after dd2,turned out not to be DVT it was combination of allergies to different meds I had and the n they stopped them.

I had both with both of my sections. first one in 2003 and second in 2006.

Injections and really itchy stockings!!!!
