C-Section Underwear

Did anyone use special c-section knickers after their c-section? And if no, would you recommend them? And which brand?

I have had lots of surgery in the past and found light compression (which is what the knickers offer) really helped with healing the scar tissue better, so am tempted, but they are quite pricey for something I will only wear for a few weeks...

Thank you.

In my experience, the wound was hidden for some time under an attractive overhang of belly which had not yet receded (yes, lovely!) so I am not sure the compression would have helped as it wouldn't have been on the wound, if you see what I mean. This may not be the case if you are very slim, but certainly was for both of mine! I am about a size 14.

DD is 4, I'm still in the giant knickers, so comfy!! Blush

I had c-section pants but I can't remember the brand. They were high waisted, light compression and they had a little pouch over the scar that you could put a dressing in. They were great.
After a couple of weeks, I just wore normal big pants and still do

Haha thank you all!

BaskingTrout they sound the same as what I have looked at. I like the idea of feeling more 'held together'. Confused

I wore huge black pants with a maternity pad over the scar. Made me feel a bit 'held in' and scar healed beautifully. Helpful to gently hold when coughing or moving too for a bit of security.

Good thinking! Grin
