it would be a lucky child who is adopted by you, LWRG...

Am always telling my two what special children they are and how lucky I am to have them.

Lost my first at 23 weeks, did not try that long for DS (18 months) but it was long enough. DD did not take half as long to conceive and I got PG with my third on the first attempt, only 5 weeks to go!!!

Lovely thread!

This is exactly how I feel. Ds was conceived only a few months after dh had testicular cancer and then dd took 2 years of trying (and 2 early m/cs).

I thank God for these precious gifts every day.

(is it really greedy to want a third?)

Debbsyandson · 23/02/2007 09:36

not at all tassis you go for it.They are such precious gifts though arent they?

It took me six years to get dd and I feel so very lucky to have her. Sadly, that long wait means I am too old to go for another, but dd is so lovely I can't help but feel very blessed.

Thanks for all these lovely stories

Hi Debbsy,

I am so grateful for my beautiful DS. We spent 2 years ttc with one m/c and it was found I barely ovulate. DS was conceived this time last year on 1st cycle of clomid. I thank God for him every day.

Daisybump · 23/02/2007 13:58

Conceiving hasn't been my problem, but I had two mc within a year, and was so so grateful for already having DS...couldn't have got through it without him. Now 25wks pg and want to shout it from the rafters .

We were ttc for 2 and a half years before I got pregnant with dd. I found out I was pregnant the month before we were due to start IVF. I did 15, yes 15 pregnancy tests when I found out!!

She's 2 now, and I still look at her every day, and can scarcely believe she's here. I still get excited when it's time to go and wake her up in the morning. I love to pick up her sleepy little body and breath in her warm smell.

This is a lovely thread - reminds me of the time me and dh were in the clinic and the embryo to be implanted started dividing from two to four cells before our very eyes on the monitor - we feel very privileged to have seen 'life in action'. Sadly, it didn't take. But we've been very lucky and have dd1 and dd2 (5 and 1) with us - both conceived through IVF - both gorgeous and healthy and full of life -and we feel equally privileged to have seen them at 4 cells old!! I was playing with dd2 today, putting her own newborn sleepsuit (so tiny) on her doll - and was very tearful. The journey to have our daughters was so emotionally hard, but welll worth it.

It took us 2 years to conceive and I had a miscarriage. We were devastated but a few months later I conceived and on the 11 May 2005 Dd1 was born, she was a very healthy size aswell!!! 11 months later by surprise when we were on holiday in Australia (last April and May) I realized that I had pregnancy symtoms and we hadnt been trying for a baby!!! On the 27th December 2006 DD2 was born. My Dh and I tonight were talking about how lucky and fortunate we both are having two beautiful healthy children. My heart melts thinking about them both
