The inappropriate birth playlist

The title says it all really. I've started putting together a Spotify playlist to keep me active through early labour (made it public as well). I want all the hilarious / positive / inappropriate songs you can think of!

Some example so far:

Come as you are - Nirvana
Rock with you - MJ
Born this way - Lady Gaga
Chandelier - Sia
Push it - Salt n pepa
Breathe - Blu Cantrel
Under pressure - Queen & Bowie

You see where I'm going with this... Grin

Flisspaps · 19/08/2016 21:30

The only song I remember playing during DD's birth is 'sex on fire'

With DS I had the Johnny Cash film on at home and was pissing myself laughing at 'ring of fire' - the midwives thought I'd gone crackers Grin

DH's favourite band is Underworld and when he suggested doing a playlist I did wonder if I'd give birth to Born Slippy...

Can't believe I'm the first to say Adam and the Ants "Stand and Deliver"

YabuDabbaDoo · 19/08/2016 21:42

RockyBird Stand and Deliver is a fantastic choice!

YabuDabbaDoo · 19/08/2016 21:45

I was a birth partner in the 90s to a friend who was deeply into trance music and she entered transition stage to a really annoying, hard on the ears piece of music from one of her compilations... I decided to skip the CD forward (to the relief of all present)... The display helpfully informed me that the track was called "Cunt" by Caustic Window..! Shock

SueGeneris · 19/08/2016 21:46

Yes Johnny Cash Ring of Fire!
The Roots - The Seed (chorus is: I push my seed in her bush for life/
It's gonna work because I'm pushin' it right/
If Mary dropped my baby girl tonight/
I would name her Rock'N'Roll)
Very funky upbeat hiphop song.

NaturalRBF · 19/08/2016 21:47
