Childbirth

35 weeks- Still don't know if having natural birth or CS

I have placenta previa and the stubborn thing is taking its time moving out of the way. I have had 4 scans now and another next week. They keep making me wait hours while they hum and hah.
I am so fed up.
Baby is sometimes breech and sometimes head down. He is also rather large- already around 6 pounds so outside the "normal" range.
I dont particularly want to end up with all the pain of labour only to go for an EmCS anyway.
I have had 2 natural births before. Any thoughts or advice?

What a lovely little boy!! He's not as small as I was expecting , which I'm really relieved about. Thank you so much for sharing those pictures. I've showed my oh who is a bit shocked by the cables and tubes. I guess it's good for him to see it in a picture before he sees in on Wednesday on his daughter. I've been told I'll be wearing these sexy knee high socks to stop DV so hopefully there will be no injections needed at home as there is no way I'd administer that!!! One more question (you've been amazing so far) what 1-2 things would you say you bought that were great buys for someone having a c- section. I'm looking to buy some bits or organise things to make it easier for me to heal when I get home, I just don't know what to get. X

Him in the car seat is so so cute. He looks like a proper little man all suited and booted. I'm surprised his clothes fit him so well. I take it they're for premies? How far gone are you now with DC4? You're brave going through it that many times. I don't think I could do all this again and she's not even here yet Hmm

Her room and the bags have been ready since week 20. I am one of these people with OCD who has to have everything ready otherwise I get anxious.

As far as names so she has always been Olivia (Liv) May. May after my Great Grandmother who's birthday is the day she will now be born on. Very co incidental!! Maybe she'll be watching her and keeping an eye out for her. What about you. Thought of names yet? Will be now going to boots btw :-)

I've got my mum going to another boots today too. I find that prem doesn't actually mean much smaller than 'new born' just like micro nappies by pampers aren't much smaller than size 1 nappies. I don't want to put her in clothes that drown her. Id rather wrap her in lots of blankets instead. What's the sleeping pattern like of a prem baby? X

Thank you do much for all your answers!! I certainly feel more ready then I did last week. I just have to get through the section now which I'm still rather nervous about even though I know I'll be fine. My hospital actually has a poster in the wall saying 1:5 births at Frimley park (Surrey) are c-sections so they must be well rehearsed at these by now. It's also where Sophie Wessex ( royal family) had her section. Thanks again for everything. I will keep checking in here daily and will be back with updates about Liv xx

I am glad you two found each other as I am clueless with regards to c-sections etc ;-). I can't believe how much of wimp I have been and I am now heading for a normal delivery to a very big boy. I cant wait to hear how you get on Johull and Liv of course. And yes its true Whatsonemore.. love multiplies. I love my two boys more and more every day although I didn't think I could love my 2nd as much as my first. How wrong I was! Kids are just amazing. Or as my mum says: the meaning of life which I guess is true for a parent. I am off to bed now with swollen feet. Lol. Small problems. Night night x

Can't believe it. I'm here now in bed and they want to scan me before going down to check she's still breech. How can they do this to me. I'm so nervous about the birth itself and would t know what to do if they said I had to have a natural birth. Are they allowed to do this? Throw all this into disarray so soon to the surgery time? Help
