Im due with my 2nd in middle of july(1st resulted in mc) and have been wondering for a while, does everything go back to normal downstairs after a few weeks or not? I knkw every womans different but im quite tight normally down there and preparing myself for a tear or to be cut. Just wouldnt mind reading experiences of how your bodies were afterwards aswell. Im quite slim but already had tons of stretchmarks due to water retntion when growing up, so they dont bother me just as ive said the rest of me body lol

I explained to my midwife I was scared about tearing, and during the delivery (when he was coming out) they held some type of cloth against my bottom and pushed against it, as I was pushing out. I had a minor tear, which healed on its own.

I noticed a difference in the first few months after a forceps delivery - tampons not staying in, etc. I did my exercises like mad and it went back to normal by dd's 1st birthday. So for me yes there was a difference but it was temporary and I am fine now.

curiousuze I had emergency forceps with a nasty episiotomy and a tear as well - registrar said it was a "complex" repair Sad and it's been left in a bit of a mess, with a couple of big skin tags where there weren't any before. I also have a slight prolapse (long second stage). I hate to touch it, have never been able to look. Actually I haven't touched it more than a few times for nearly 2 years, and I can't bring myself to have sex with DH yet. Sad Not sure what to do; my GP just said it was too cosmetic to be worth a repair and I should just put up with it Sad Does anyone have any experience of having it repaired for cosmetic reasons?

Thankyou so much for all your experiences :) gave me more of an insight hehehe see nobidy ever mentions there is always the chance of a prolapse aswell, half the actual important stuff you should know about labour and afterwards is never told. Or it is briefly explained and not enough detail. our lil man is measuring off the scales, they recon he will be 10lb+ lol it wouldnt suprise me by how big my bump keeps getting. So im going to keep all your stories in mind :) hehehe thankyou again xx
