I'm just curious. They say first babies are often late but perhaps not? I'd love to hear your stories.

18 days early. Was so sure I'd be late that I'd neglected to pack my bag Blush. Anyway, it gave us something to do whilst waiting to go to the hospital.

I gave birth the day after my due date with my first. I really thought that she was going to be born on her due date as contractions started the day before. She was due 1st June, contractions started 31st May but nope she was born 2nd June!

FantasticMax · 29/10/2012 21:54

I was a week late - but went into labour 6 days after due date.

I remember being in M&S buying food on my due date, and the check out girl asking when I was due. I said "Today, actually." Her face was like Hmm

gladyoucame · 29/10/2012 21:57

4 weeks early with my first, 2 1/2 weeks early with no2

OhEmGee25 · 30/10/2012 13:07

Induced at 40+9, she made an appearance 28 hours later Confused

cravingcake · 30/10/2012 17:18

My waters broke (slow trickle) overnight at 38 weeks, DS finally arrived at 38+4 so I generally say to people he was 2 weeks early.

motherinferior · 30/10/2012 17:18

Two days early.

I was 39+2. Actually started latent phase of labour at 38+4. Midwife told me on inspecting my placenta that it prob would've been deteriorated by my due date, so good job baby arrived when she did!

AbbyRue · 30/10/2012 21:06

42 weeks on the dot

pumpkin2012 · 30/10/2012 21:13

3days after my due date.

Robomummy · 30/10/2012 21:16

3 days after my due date

HeinousHecate · 30/10/2012 21:19

God knows.

I was induced with both.

A couple of weeks overdue with my first I think and I can't even remember what my due date was for my second.

It's another of those things that amazes me about other mothers. They remember due dates and time of birth and date of first step and date of first tooth... and I couldn't remember that stuff if my life depended on it. Blush
