So, I tested +ve for GBS. I know I need IV antibiotics during labour.
BUT...conflicting info on whether me and the baby will have to stay in for observations for 24 hrs after birth.
My MW suggested not, unless didn't have enough time in labour to get a decent dose of antibs. But a friend of our who is also a MW (at a different hospital), said we'd have to stay for 24-48 hrs for obs, regardless of antibs.
I think I am suspicious of my MW trying to sugar-coat [cynical emoticon]....
