Please tell all! I didn't get any with no. 1, quite painful for a couple of days with no. 2 - what shall I expect with no. 3, due in 7 weeks time? Do I need to stock up on extra strong painkillers?

I had no 3(dd) 4 weeks ago and just wanted to say pains not that bad. read most of this thread and felt sorry that afterpains hurt so many but wanted to offer little ray of hope to those about to give birth that its not always so bad. But i'd still stock up on the painkillers just in case....

I think the other thing to add is that even though it was painful, it didn't go onfor that long. Not as long, for example, as the excruciating pain of the nipples....

I did get quite painful afterpains with my 3rd and probably will with no.4 (come out now, your time is up!) but they do pass quite quickly and obviously are helping to shrink your tum.

Sorry, i'll have to agree with what everyone has said!!! With my first no pain, after the second i can't recall any pain, but after my third i certainly knew all about it, and yes mine were worse than labour itself!!!So best of luck and keep taking the pain killers and grit your teeth!!!
