They're a terrible strain on the NHS, after all. If someone wants a bit of love and affection they should get a puppy, not expect taxpayers to fund their lifestyle choices.

MoS Big Brother is watching you ...

Oooh, I like the one elderly relative policy - and it might make them sharpen up their act if they know there is competition for the slot.

duchesse · 24/02/2011 19:11

At the moment the policy would have to be a one middle-aged relative policy since it's the babyboomers who are the bulge so to speak.

whomovedmychocolate · 24/02/2011 19:13

I listened very careful to Mr Farage earlier and it's now clear to me we should in fact, ban women as economically unviable. This will definitely solve the problem of overstretched maternity wards.

duchesse · 24/02/2011 19:27

What about all those economically inactive children? Send 'em down the mines, I say.

BoffinMum · 24/02/2011 19:54

We are indeed a drain on someone else's state, us girlies.

I think you're all being really selfish with the bodies in bins ideas. What about the bin men's backs? They'll end up in hospital - drain on resources - or on sick leave - drain on public sector finances - or on universal credit - an even bigger drain on the public purse according to the current government.

FFS, just compost yourself in the garden. Simples Wink

BoffinMum · 24/02/2011 20:26

You will have to macerate yourself up a bit first, perhaps tipping a box of fishing maggots over yourself to get a headstart?

OP posts:
duchesse · 24/02/2011 20:35

Now that's a good sensible low-cost solution, BoffinMum. I mean, how much can a bit a of fishing bait cost? I suggest we trial it on a few people first.

duchesse · 25/02/2011 17:51

Thread-killer me. Was quite a fun one too. Sorry Boff.

BoffinMum · 25/02/2011 18:01

Trial it like when they bury bodies for forensic science students?

OP posts:
foxytocin · 25/02/2011 18:02

we could trial it on that NHSsupporter person first.

duchesse · 25/02/2011 18:15

I reckon we've been invaded by Farragits.

BoffinMum · 25/02/2011 18:18

Now I was too polite to say that. I reported her abusive post btw.

I had to laff when she told me I was an uneducated chav for spelling bollox with an x. If only she knew

OP posts:
BoffinMum · 25/02/2011 18:18

Don't mess with da Boff.

Word.

I reckon that poster is actually a 54 yo bloke with a beer belly and an axe to grind.

Grumpla · 25/02/2011 18:21

:o

NHSsupporter · 25/02/2011 18:30

Just because I don't happen to believe that we are all equal (God, I wouldn't want to be equal to my man - far too low a position) and that the human rights act is gospel, you are prepared to wish me dead!

Nice to know that tolerance and the art of democratic debate is still alive - just clearly not on Mumsnet.

However, if you were debating the reintroduction of National Service for wayward teenagers, or the limitation of family sizes of people on welfare benefits to 2 children - then I am all for that!!

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 25/02/2011 18:39

Brilliant.

foxytocin · 25/02/2011 18:43

lol, no. I wasn't wishing you dead. I thought you'd volunteer your body to research in keeping the costs of the NHS down.

don't go getting upset now.

BoffinMum · 25/02/2011 18:47

NHS, you're now being such a cliche I think it must be a wind up. No?

This is not a forum for democratic debate, you are confusing MN with a think tank or a political organisation. This is a social networking site where people like to post all sorts of things including (in this case) an ongoing standing debate about the philosphical merits of choosing between the green or black bin should one wish to recycle oneself after death. It has nothing whatsoever to do with you, nobody has wished you dead, we couldn't care less about you other than to have a bit of a laugh at your bigotry.

But just as Hitler made a fuss when mocked by Charlie Chaplin, if you can't stand for a bit of robust humour then you're not worth the effort. Now are you going to be silly with us about council overregulation of waste disposal or are you going to sit there with your arms folded in the corner of the thread all night?

OP posts:
foxytocin · 25/02/2011 18:52

lol, just read the end of your last post.

you're not going to suggest that anyone on welfare exceeding the 2 children quota ought to have the surplus children recycled? Grin

duchesse · 25/02/2011 18:53

Send all the surplus kids and grannies down the mines! Recycle them when they cark it and spend time training them to recycle themselves to cut down on bin man sick days.

duchesse · 25/02/2011 18:55

Lightbulb moment!

Power!!

Use the stiffs to generate power- that's where the payback comes in. All that cremation uses power, this is the perfect solution!

BoffinMum · 25/02/2011 19:01

You could recycle the dust as that hair replacement powder stuff my DH was experimenting with.
