Just been to midwife for a sweep, she confirmed that I am 4cm dilated, so surely my wee girl should be here soon. What do you think??

p.s. 3rd baby

It's a tough one actually because at the same time I'd be thinking 'there is a reason not to leave it more than 24 hours'...

I'm sure it will all kick off today! Here's hoping!

When my waters went I was told to go home and come back in 48 hours so it's different in different areas.

In the end there was no need contrations started an hour after waters broke.

Sending you some contractions vibes, good luck. It's so exciting your gonna have a beautiful newborn baby in your arms by the weekend no matter what!

I'd go in when you feel ready - there is a minute risk of infection (but far less in your own home!) I'd just own up when you go in. This happened to me with ds1 and a sweep got me started - could your midwife help you out? Good luck!

Still no contractions, but have an appointment with MW tomorrow...see if I can wangle another 24hrs!!! Most babies are born within 48 hours of waters breaking, apparantly.

Any news?! There must be something happening by now!

Yes, I think she's in labour - there's another thread somewhere...

Whoops!! Bit of a late update!!

She was 18 years old yesterday!!!

Yeah, she didn’t come until 8 days after
my last post. She was soooooo overdue!

The Sunday night I sighed and said “Ok, I’ll go to hospital tomorrow and get an induction!” But my good wee girl decided she was coming on the Monday and she was born about 1pm. Can’t remember exact time! Think she was about 8lb.

So many years on mumnset and still posting at least once a day. Who knew what an addiction it would turn in to when I googled SUA and found mumsnet all those years ago!
