Panic...I need to buy a tent - URGENT!

Hi

I need to buy a tent in a hurry, I need help!

Never been camping before, I need to buy at least a 4 man berth size one, for me, dh, ds1 and 2.

I have looked at these 2;

six-man

and

four-man

Can anyone tell me if they are good or not, I have to make a descision by 4pm!!!!!! and I only have £50!

I would definitely go for 6 man one...I stayed in a two man one recently and it was only just big enough for me! Go for biggest you can afford!

I would advise getting one larger than 4 size for four of you. I dont know anything about argos tents but I wouldnt depend on how waterproof it is as 2000 isnt much. Normally 3000 min is advised. for that price though and if you dont intend to go in poor weather conditions I'd go for 6 man one.

Defo go for 6 but it's v v cheap, fairy - won't be very weather resistant - hope you get good weather!

Good idea, but I need to really get it today or tomorrow. I would buy the 4 berth one, but I don't know how big it is, it doesn't say with the online desciption.

Waiting for my neighbour to come home abd see if she has Argos Summer catalogue, why did I recycle mine last week!!!!

i am sure everything argos has would be online

both of the ones I'm interested in are clearance, so i think there would have been more details in the summer catalogue. I think!

There are other cheap tents but they're all online

I've checked the Argos book - nothing there that isn't online.

ooooh, just had a thought - last year or the year before (can't remember which but I bought one) Homebase had tents in and sold them halfprice or better late on in the season - give yours a ring and see if they have any this year!
