lisad123, we went to Eweleaze 2 years ago and we loved it. The size of the site meant that tents weren't cramped together. Camp fires are allowed, the farmer will deliver hay bales, which we made a sofa out of to sit round the fire. Our children queued for the bread in the morning and didn't mind, so we got to have a shower and get the rest of breakfast on the go.
Our children's favourite things were the giant water butts and haystacks that were in each field for them to play with. They spent hours rolling each other round inside the butts
. They made loads of friends, swam in the sea on the (pebbly, but with loads of fossils) adjacent beach and had a fantastic time.
We found there was a sort of 'festival' vibe to the place, because lots of people were there in groups and also I think, because it's not a permanent site, it's only open for a month a year, so no posh toilet blocks!
The on-site food was lovely (all organic too), but very expensive!
