It is this one.

The instructions are pap. I have never seen or even been in a tent never mind put one up!

I am only in the garden, but really wanted to do it before DH gets home.

I have pegged down the ground sheet and put the poles in and now I'm stumped. How do the poles go in the ground? And how do you fasten the tent to the floor?

TIA

oh my god i am so proud of you well done - i too wanted to shout "yes the pins in the end of the hollow pole" and swear at you too lol. How do you feel - empowered? now try and get the fecker back in the bag lol. You deserve a huge pat on the back.

Well done, your tent is the same size as mine and I would have serious trouble getting mine up on my own.

Your best putting poles in first then you can pull it taught before pegging the groundsheet so you get no flappy bits.

Now as nappy says the worst fun bit is getting it folded and back in the bag.

Although if it's going to rain I'd leave it up to help waterpoof it.

ShowOfHands · 04/08/2010 18:23

waterpoof? That's not very pc is it?

Taking it down again is extraordinarily easy. Fits easily into the bag, no effort required. It's not obvious I'm lying to you is it?

Well done suwoo, you did marvellously.

Well done!

Bloody marvellous - well done for putting up on your own. Just think how easy it will be when you go on your first trip

Back from work now. There are still flappy bits and the cats are in there- pissing.

What do I need to do?

ha ha! wash it lol!!! urghhh hope its not on groundsheet. Take it down, lay it flat and hold apcking bag against it and fold it about 6 inches shorter than the length of the bag - leave doors open so air can escap and roll it tight for your life preferably with poles laid on it to weight it down and get air out. Good luck

I want to leave it upthough to sleepin it this weekend.

There are big gaps though, I mean inches from the floor. Do I need to move the poles closer together?

I really need a local camper to come and look at it.

Flappy bits are a hazard of the job. You have officially passed the "hard camping birds test" and we salute you! Go and mug up on delta ground pegs and come and high five us all on the camping threads very soon. And if you can book a camping trip, so much the better!

suwoo · 04/08/2010 20:47

Ive booked a camping trip for the bank hol. No electric either- am hardcore!

There are gaps though, gaps I tell you. What to do?

when you pitch dont camp on uneven sloped ground then you will have less gaps but im sure someoen will have something more helpful to say.

suwoo · 04/08/2010 21:26

But what about now? The cats are getting in. Have I stretched it too taught? Not sure how it goes flush to the ground.

Not me - I've had Pinot grigio and am emotionally spent.

suwoo · 04/08/2010 21:41

Fuck me, not now! Are you local notwaving?

Wanna come tomorrow?
