Do you think it's necessary to ask permission to breastfeed your baby in a public place

For instance in a cafe, in a GP waiting room, at someone else's house?

Is it good manners to ask?

Or would you just assume it is ok, and get on with it?

Absolutely not. You wouldn't ask permission to get out a bottle?
You are FEEDING YOUR BABY. The only way we are going to get breastfeeding normalised in this country is if we STOP asking for permission, and assume you can feed any where!

no, no and yea sometimes depends on the house if you are good friends then no but elderly male relatives then maybe.
also if ask in a way that says ' I'm gonna feed my baby ok?' also means you will sometimes get a cup of tes!
if a mum asks a toddler group I run I always obviously say yes and ask wether they'd like a comfier chair and a drink as I've been there needed a drink and too far away from the teapot!

no, no, yes
unless it'a somewhere I wouldn't just sit anyway but I wouldn't ask if I could nurse, I would ask if there was somewhere to sit because my baby needs feeding.
