Got a lovely b'day card from 'the boys' so all is forgiven and I'd agree with the 'perfect' comment - we will look back on this time and remember the cuddles with affection and forget the sleeplessness and bags under outr bags!

Poor you - that's a bit rough

We are knee deep in an extension ....for 10 weeks! Absolute chaos - I hid in the Trafford Centre yesterday - no gas today - not sure I've got the strength!

Adding two bedrooms and extending the morning room - they have to demolish garage first and rebuild it to take the weight so the mess is just horrific - ds1 keep shouting 'MESS' whenever he sees a builder! At least it is entertaining him as he was watching the cement lorry for about half and hour this mroning - thankfully he is in nursery tomorrow!

Getting stressed about the builders so slipping into a coma when going to bed - as a result I've ignored ds2 a couple of times and he has given up and gone back to sleep - result!! Still only doing 3/4 hours max though. Cute smiles and giggles get me through.

Need rroms to accomodate very welcome visits from family helpers! Ironically I still want the boys to share a room as they grow up!

H i cant find the thread all about your rowdies and the great chase - what happened in the end?

Hughsie · 30/05/2003 15:46

All quiet now - dh gave chase but only to see where they lived. Friday again so the drunks will be out in force - there is loads of building stuff for them to play with so I let the rottweiler out and see what happens...

codswallop · 30/05/2003 16:50

7pm till 2am - i got to watch bb4!

Melly · 31/05/2003 09:05

Hughsie, just seen your post about ignoring ds2...made me chuckle as I did this with ds a couple of nights ago, he woke up at 2 am, having previously gone from 11 pm - 4/5 am, so I let him try and settle himself back off which thankfully he did, either that or I went back to sleep and didn't hear him......guilt.

codswallop · 31/05/2003 20:18

I put ear plugs in!!

codswallop · 07/06/2003 17:51

melly and Hughsie - how is the sleep going?
Mine is still not going through seems to be 7 ish to 2 and then awake just after 5 napping with me

Plesae H tell me you have got it!!

Melly · 08/06/2003 16:39

Hi Codswallop, my ds is getting pretty good (touching wood frantically!). He goes from 7 pm until about 10.30 pm when I wake him for a feed, then from just after 11 pm until anything between 5 am/7am. He did go 11 pm - 7 am last week one day but then slipped back to going until about 5.30 am but still pretty good. I do find the late evening feed a pain but if he starts to go regularly from 11 - 7 I think I can happily live with that for a while until he drops that late feed.

codswallop · 08/06/2003 20:37

hes only little though? thats good.
we have had a party here today and Charles is still raring to play! Dh currently out touring with him in the car!

codswallop · 13/06/2003 18:43

hughsie are you asleep? havent posted for ages

Hughsie · 15/06/2003 10:58

Hello

Escaped to my parents for a week to avoid builders - come back to great progress so very excited!
Have had mixed sleep experience in the travel cot - 9 hours the first night!!!!!! now he seems settled on 9pm - 3/4am then back off until 6/7am - vast improvement but may introduce a spoon of baby rice today as he is in his 16th week!

codswallop · 15/06/2003 13:31

hoorah you are back, c did 12 hours the other night!!

the merits of early weaning!!

mears · 15/06/2003 14:32

Maybe he would have done that anyway codswallop Just a word of caution - early weaning can cause other problems that are longer lasting than sleepless nights. However - don't want to put a spoke in your wheel. As long as you feel happy.

Hughsie · 15/06/2003 22:39

When did you start weaning? Do you really think it is that that helped? Has it stayed good since weaning?
Mine did 9 hours one night and we actually did try one spoon of baby rice today but he was quite unsettled this wevening so I've decided he isn't ready.

codswallop · 20/06/2003 14:12

thanlks mears for your concern. Only one meal of baby rice at the mo and we have no allergies in our family.
Will stay like that for a few months yet

codswallop · 07/07/2003 20:47

hey Hughsie - have the buiders gone yet?
