...eat whatever I like
...get drunk
...lose baby weight x 2 (at the same time as eating whatever I like )
...get DH to put both boys to bed on HIS OWN
...go away
...let MIL have both boys LOTS

...have no excuse about not losing weight/having butter on my toast/snacking during the day

You?

You can get underwired nursing bras too HSFAY. No need to avoid wires at all during pregnancy or bf as long as they are well fitting.

And you certainly don't need to stop bf to stop needing to wear breast pads. I haven't worn any for well over 18 months now, but haven't given up bf. (Am stocked up on pads for imminent milk influx from new baby though!)

HaventSleptForAYear · 01/10/2008 14:10

Well I've had no problems with underwired.

I think if you were feeling "sensitive" you wouldn't wear them, but if you feel you are back to normal, why not?

JustKeepSwimming · 01/10/2008 14:11

CSWS - i leak, did with ds1 until a few weeks after stopping, and though it's not much, i hate waking in a puddle in the middle of the night!

Yep no breast pads here (EVER! with DS2).

CSWS - some people (like me) do need to wear breast pads throughout BF (because of let down from other side when feeding)

HaventSleptForAYear · 01/10/2008 14:13

I think a lot of people give up early because they think that the way things are early on are they way they will stay iyswim.

With an older baby there is no need to be careful about food/drink (I was more careful early on because I found my DSs sensitive).

Of course you can leave the baby (unless you want bf as an excuse not to).

You don't stay "huge" for ever either - I am now back to pre-pregnancy/bf size.

Back to normal size after 6 months?

Was a 32D now a 36f and have been since DD born. I conceived on honeymoon and have a stack of beautiful 32D honeymoon lingerie I fear I will never wear again.

HI JKS!

EachPeachPearMum · 01/10/2008 14:22

Wear a dress!!!!!
(well, am not bfing atm, but that was the first thing I did when DD stopped!)
So nice to go back to clothes that are not chosen for their accessibility!

JustKeepSwimming · 01/10/2008 14:24

ooh yes a dress!!!
going to splash out next year and get some summer ones, really liked some this year

plus my brother gets married in bermuda last year so will need bikini swimsuit stuff, dresses, small summer tops, hooray!

Go on a girly holiday

LaTrucha · 01/10/2008 14:27

Oo yes. Dress!

LaTrucha · 01/10/2008 14:38

My GP swears the extra weight will just drop off me once I stop bf

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/10/2008 14:46

What age did you feed to JKS and skidaddle? Just wondering if this is why you needed breastpads throughout, as I've not known anyone in RL use them past about a year.

VictorianSqualor · 01/10/2008 14:50

I eat whatever I like and get drunk anyway.

I'll probably have to have a boobjob so I don't miss my farking amazing cleavage.

YummyMam · 01/10/2008 15:51

Eat chocolate and cheese, lots and lots of cheese! DD has dairy allergy, so no dairy for me either - worth it to see her beautiful face not covered in horrible eczema, but I miss Brie and pizza and mars bars (not combined) so much.

TettyLouBar · 01/10/2008 16:08

-Get disgustingly drunk
-wear strapless tops, dresses and pretty matching underwear
-fit into my lovely tops I bought the summer I got preggers and never had a chance to wear
-loose my last smidgin of baby weight and then some!
-tell all my pregnant first timer friends that its one of the best feelings in the world

-probably miss it and regret stopping

skidaddle · 01/10/2008 16:34

CSWS - DS is only 9.5 months so hopefully I won't need them past a year - will look forward to it!

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/10/2008 16:44

Fingers crossed skidaddle!

Oh yummymam - I can empathise and offer a voice of hope. Dd outgrew her milk intolerance around 20 months, and it was lovely to be able to have dairy again, and not need to label check everything.
lol at the thought of pizza, brie and mars all together!

HaventSleptForAYear · 01/10/2008 17:14

Definitely dress - hadn't thought of that! It's really the only thing that bf has stopped me doing/wearing.

It's been so long though -4 years of pregnancy or bf that I'd totally forgotten about them.

Must put them on my winter shopping list- might wait to see if DS2 gives up bf or not though.

JustKeepSwimming · 01/10/2008 17:32

CSWS - i fed ds1 to just over a year - certainly didn't need to change the pads very often or anything and i think i was getting to the point of not needing them at night. thinking of trying a night without them soon to see what happens...

oh and every time ds1 dropped a feed i lost some weight so hopefully it will all 'fall off' me too

  • Get rat-arsed!
  • Get off my tits on Pepsi Max!
  • Errr... dunno. Don't really miss anything else as much.

xx

lollipopmother · 02/10/2008 14:14

Oh crap, is there a rule about not drinking coke/pepsi/lemonade when BF??

My DD is only 16 days old but I am already sick to death of my nursing bras, for a start they don't fit, they're a 38G for God sake, they fit my head but not my boobs!! I've now got on a cheapo crop top bra thing, it's made of stretchy material so it's elasticated everywhere, which makes it easy to pull the strap off my shoulder, I would thoroughly recommend to anyone pissed off at their nursing bra!
