Just thought I'd say...

Ahem... Cause I was too scared to post anywhere else.

Should have changed my name to "wussyfraidycatbert"

Angeliz · 15/11/2004 21:13

ROFL at hunkermumker

baggybear · 15/11/2004 21:35

I have just dared to sign back in! bit scared coz last night was my first time (mn virgin) and BOY! did i have a shock. Are there a lot of discussions like that. I take it you are all nice most of the time

MummyToSteven · 15/11/2004 21:38

baggybear - a thread like last night's crops up every so often - topics that tend to get heated are: gina ford, breastfeeding v bottlefeeding, sahms v mothers who work outside the home, controlled crying, and eating grapes in supermarkets without paying(!)otherwise its mostly calm and peaceful with the occasional ruck

Hulababy · 15/11/2004 21:41

mummytosteven - you forgot to private v state education too There's been a few of them!

I have learnt to steer clear when the going gets bad! I always feeling like cracking people's head together and telling them to just listen to each other and unerstand that not everyone feels the same way. And that there is no perfect, right way of doing anything. Instead you have to do what is best for you and your family, at that particular time, depending on your own needs and wishes. And ignore people who want to come all high and mighty and tell you that you are doing it all wrong.

Rant over

moomina · 15/11/2004 21:41

And the merits of 4x4s...

baggybear · 15/11/2004 21:43

mummytoseven - so i'm not the only one who eats the grapes!!! and can i ask r u really mummy to 7???!!!

Gobbledigook · 15/11/2004 21:43

AND they only get like that if people are downright insulting to others - I'm afraid I'm not backward in coming forward so if I think someone's out of order I'll tell em in no uncertain terms.

Please don't read that thread in bits - you have to read from the nasty original posts to understand why some people (including me) got how we did at the end!

One person got extremely upset and spent a whole night worrying and posted a thread about it this morning. I'll defend her from any other evil cow that wants to have a go too.

COME ON!!!

I'm sticking to the jovial threads from now on!

Mind you, was having banter about blokes and wanking and even that's turning into a bit of a slanging match!

MummyToSteven · 15/11/2004 21:44

nope, to "Steven".
one's hard work enough especially at the very beginning. think there are a few people on here with 5 or 6 kids, don't think there is anyone with 7 or more???

Hulababy · 15/11/2004 21:47

I haven't even read the to threads this time - I knew to stay away

baggybear · 15/11/2004 21:47

mummytosteven - HA HAHA HA ! stoopid me!!! can read really!!! thoght 7 was a bit excessive. i have 3 AND THAT is enough!!!!

gobbledigook _ i didn't offend you last night did i???? V worried now

Gobbledigook · 15/11/2004 21:48

No Baggybear!

MummyToSteven · 15/11/2004 21:48

soooo many people read it as seven, baggybear - even got abbreviated to M27 by someone - makes me sound like a motorway!!!

baggybear · 15/11/2004 21:48

thank goodness for that

Gobbledigook · 15/11/2004 21:49

Good move Hulababy!! Wish I had too - afraid to say someone really rattled my cage with her outlandish remarks.

Can't believe it's been revived too! Just as it was slipping off the active convos!

baggybear · 15/11/2004 21:51

anyway, i joined mn to have friendly chats and thats why i'm here. anyone else got all boys (or should i be going elsewhere to ask that?)

Gobbledigook · 15/11/2004 21:52

Hey!! Have you got a boy gang Baggybear?!

I have (3) and so has emmatmg (3) - there are others but can't remember now off the top of my head.

Angeliz · 15/11/2004 21:52

baggybear, hello and welcome+

I was probably one of the ones who scared you last night.
I can honestly say it's my first swearing outburst on mumsnet but people were deliberately offensive and abusive.

Anyway, i'm alright really!!

baggybear · 15/11/2004 21:56

gobbledigook - wow i have 3 boys too. ages 5 4 and 16months ! need to talk more to you some time!!!!

angeliz - you didn't offend me in the slightest and swearing doesn't bother me at all!!! everyone is entitled to there opinion whether i agree with it or not. but less of the heavy stuff...

Gobbledigook · 15/11/2004 22:00

Me too Baggy (re swearing and nastiness) - it's only when provoked!

Mine are 3.5, 2 and 11 wks!! Life is hectic and I bet it gets worse!!! Is it getting marginally easier with one at school?

baggybear · 15/11/2004 22:03

2 at skool now. 4 yr old started in sept but he is only part time so back and fro to skool lots at mo full time after xmas tho woo-hoo!!! does get easier coz now have time to think about me a bit more

Gobbledigook · 15/11/2004 22:04

Oooh good to hear! Ds1 starts next September and ds2 will go to playgroup in mornings as he'll be almost 3. Just telling myself I'll get a bit more me-time when they are at school but actually I bet I'll really miss them when they are all there

baggybear · 15/11/2004 22:07

do miss the 2 at skool but make most of time with little one. you must have 2 quite close together too. ds1 and ds2 are only 14 months apart.

emmatmg · 15/11/2004 22:07

Hi Baggy, gobbledigook is right. I'm another member of the 3 boys gangs.

5, 3, and 14 months here.

Coddy and dinosaur have 3 boys too.

We're a very exclusive club

Catbert · 15/11/2004 22:07

Aw bless - I'm feeling all fab now reading this post I started - there's no blood, no tears, just the occasional stewing kitten.

I shall retire to bed. My work here is done...
