HRHQueenOfQuotes · 07/03/2006 19:40

I have one of each (breastfed and bottlefed)

DS1 (breastfed) is tall (for his age), gorgeous, and was plagued by chest infections as a baby - and visited McD's LOTS of times - particularly while I was pg with DS2

DS2 (bottlefed) is also tall for his, gorgeous and has been to the dr.s twice since he was born (excluding vaccinations). Only been to McD's a handful of times.

Very early to tell yet on intelligence as they're only 5 and 2 - but ATM DS2 seem to be taking the 'lead' on intelligence - although DS1 is very musicial.

MT - Congratulations is the order of the day for you!! Don't know how many people can claim their children have never, ever been to Mc'D's!!! Do you live on an island?WinkSmile

GDG · 07/03/2006 19:44

My 3 are formula fed and slim, healthy and bright. Only ds1 at school yet but he's at the top of the class in reading, writing AND maths.

Oh and they are each and every one of them total stunners (that's from me though Grin)

GDG · 07/03/2006 19:44

Wish I could say mine have never had McDonalds - ds1 and ds2 have had it twice (ds3 never) but they didn't eat it - does that count?!

turniphead..pmsl

I find myself getting vexed sometimes on the BF/FF debate.
Neither side should feel the need to prove themselves.

I'll update on DS1's 'intelligence' tomorrow evening - have his parents evening tomorrow afternoon - although I suspect he's not going to be 'top' of his class - thought certainly not 'bottom' either - think I've been blessed with one of those "average" kids Grin

jabberwocky · 07/03/2006 19:46

Just wanted to say that I myself was bottlefed and feel that I am also attractive, healthy and intelligent Grin

GDG · 07/03/2006 19:49

Sorry QoQ - I didn't want to be gloaty, but I had parents evening last week and I was majorly chuffed and proud to hear this of course! Nothing wrong with not being top of class - happiness and trying best is most important...and I've got 2 more to get to school yet so who knows how they will fare? (Though with my genes....Wink

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 07/03/2006 19:51

gloat away GDG - I'm not bothered - I'd rather have happy, healthy kids that do "ok" at school, than unhappy and sick kids that are top of the class.

I was often top of the class for stuff, DH was 'average' - both of us have come out just fine from it - infact DH has done very well for himself given that he was only 'average' LOL.

GDG · 07/03/2006 19:53

Oh totally agree QoQ - despite being very proud I know it's not the be all and end all. I'd be much more concerned about their health and happiness.

Dh is very bright but not academic at all - he's done extremely well for himself without a bunch of qualifications.

turniphead · 07/03/2006 19:54

bottle or breast?

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 07/03/2006 19:56

I just hope DS1 doesn't find himself where my (older) brother did. He wasn't great academically - whereas I was top of the class and people always commented on it - he hated it because he felt daft because he little sister was 'brighter' than him - and I hated it because I knew my brother was good at other stuff and he got really upset by it.
