I had to bf on the packed jubilee line today! Man I felt awkward and I've bf in all kinds of places, but surrounded by suits and young men I felt majorly conspicuous! There are no corners to sit on its all open plan! Anyone else bf on tube? Or any funny places you find yourself doing it? Grin

I just remembered that I also did my smear test with my DS strapped to me sleeping in his sling, not bf though. Little mite had been fighting sleep all morning and had to have his jabs after my test, so I wanted to keep him sleeping as long as I could! Nurse was impressed/horrified. She chastised me for being too attached to DS, but when he woke up and was all smiles, she changed her opinion. He even smiled at her after the jabs were done and he stopped crying!

breastfeed on tube all time, but then she's in a sling all the time and commuters too busy looking at my noisy 3.5 year old

I've had to feed on a busy train too. The only space we could find was sitting on the luggage rack, facing everyone in the carriage - it was like being on stage. Nobody offered me a seat. :(

Pavement in city of London, sitting leaning against a building. The bus stops had no seats. No space on a bus to stick my elbow out even though I got a seat.

Bank manager was great at telling me to go ahead and feed and do a nappy change in appts if necessary. So I did.

I bf on a busy Piccadilly Line yesterday evening! First time I'd been on the tube with dd - she was getting grizzly and I'd let her go for a couple of stops and then thought "what the heck" and whacked my boob out. No real way of doing it discreetly with so many people about and dd who takes ages to latch on Blush But felt good once I was doing it and hell, I'm sure those commuters preferred an eyeful of boob to an earful of baby all the way home Grin

GrinGrin at poonami! DS2 occasionally does one still. We were staying in a tent the last time....cue him being hauled over to the toilets for a clean up and his clothes flapping from the guy ropes!

front row at the zoo birds of pray flying display, as DS was being a pain. He's 20 months and after I felt to self consues to feed DD in public after 12 months I was determined this time just to carry on.

I have had the odd funny look but no one have ever said anything. Keep charm and carry on feeding :-)

on the top open deck of a hop on hop off tourist bus. It was a nice day and the tour guide was very keen that we went up there rather than staying below. I wish we hadn't. Between keeping an eye on our stuff, trying to stop DS's hat flying off and feed him, and have someone squashing into the seat next to me, it wasn't very relaxing!

Oh I have a new one! In the queue for the London 2012 Olympic eventing competition - walking along while the queue was moving. Breast feeding really does bring a host of new experiences doesn't it?!

MumOfTheMoos · 02/08/2012 22:01

Today I bf my 17wo ds at the final of the women's archery Olympic championship at lords cricket ground!

And in the grounds around the stadium and on the train on the way up there!

My mainline train station platform episode seems positively mild compared to some of these - plus I had DP with me to help with blanket draping for my DD's dignity. At least I had somewhere to sit and enough time to get a feed done before our train arrived.
