That's lovely :)

Also amazing to see something so positive about bf in the Daily Mail!

5DollarShake · 19/01/2011 10:55

Oh gorgeous!! What a beautiful picture.

Never heard of her either!

BertieBotts · 19/01/2011 11:02

No, I hadn't heard of her, but her husband.... mhmmmm Wink

EauRouge · 19/01/2011 11:21

Oh, she looks so happy, good for her. So glad I'm having DC2 in a few weeks otherwise I think I'd explode with broodiness!

ReshapeWhileDamp · 19/01/2011 11:47

Absolutely stunning photo. I like the graininess of it - really is a family snap, unlike most of the standard sleb shots of new babies and mothers. She is gorgeous, the baby is gorgeous, the entire photo is gorgeous. And fab to see a less-viewed breastfeeding position in the public domain!

The meanminded comments are something else, though. Angry

MinnieBar · 19/01/2011 11:52

Lovely pic. Typical DM with 'all natural birth' though - like other births are 'unnatural' (yes, I know what they mean but I don't think it helps people feel better if they had 'assistance').

SudalivefromHMP · 19/01/2011 11:59

I think it would have been a much more beautiful and natural picture had she really not been wearing any make up. As it is it looks posed rather than she's just looked up at him. She is gorgeous and would have easily got away with it.

fishie · 19/01/2011 12:01

if i knew my pic was going to be published worldwide and picked over on every internet forum i'd certainly wear makeup. and get a hairdresser and possibly a stylist in.

not1not2 · 19/01/2011 12:14

lovely photo good for her

ReshapeWhileDamp · 19/01/2011 12:32

How many new mothers do you know who wanted to drag a bush through their hair, smear on some make-up and maybe ask their partner to attempt to crop their saggy tum from the viewfinder, before having their 'newborn and tired-but-happy mum' photos taken? Grin

(Actually, I was so zonked and shaken after DS2's fast birth that I forgot to ask DH to get me a hairbrush, etc. I look exactly like I've just pushed a baby out in those photos!) Grin

CountBapula · 19/01/2011 12:33

Oh FFS ...

Gorgeous pic. We have loads of pics of DS feeding when he was just born and they make me cry Blush

RubyBuckleberry · 19/01/2011 12:46

Hmm at the mirror?!

Guacamole · 19/01/2011 13:10

Gosh the Mirror is immature!

AngelDog · 19/01/2011 13:15

Never heard of her, but it's a lovely photo.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 19/01/2011 13:15

Can I be equally as immature?

Flynn Kerr Bloom?

crazycatlady · 19/01/2011 13:32

Lovely picture. She has lipstick on, but I don't blame her!

JiltedJohnsJulie · 19/01/2011 19:32

Beautiful Smile

runningrach · 19/01/2011 19:36

I have pics like that but they're intimate and private. I suppose when you're a Sleb you like having all the intimate and private parts of your life in the tabloids.

Agree with minniebar, annoying the implication that taking pain relief is unnatural. What on earth do you have to prove by not taking anything if it was long, arduous and difficult.

gaelicsheep · 19/01/2011 20:54

Well I think it's great that someone who looks that good, married to someone that famous, has published such an "intimate" photo. Breastfeeding needs to be seen - might as well look good too.

gaelicsheep · 19/01/2011 20:58

The Mirror is pathetic, but probably typifies at least a third of males in this immature population.

Deflatedballoonbelly · 19/01/2011 21:02

Its all promotion for breastfeeding right? I think she looks beautiful!

NowWhatIsit · 19/01/2011 21:05

Hang on a sec, is the baby feeding from her top breast, not the one nearest the bed? SO she has to lean over..Looks pretty uncomfortable to me, plus she's going to leak milk all over that nice kimono thing.
I'm not at all jealous, honest, I'm sure I look just this glamorous & gorgeous feeding mine in the middle of the night in mismatching PJs etc.

NotQuiteCockney · 19/01/2011 21:07

It looks uncomfortable, yy (that pose is great for mothers with larger boobs). And the latch is dubious as well, tbh ...

Still, a nice picture, and she looks happy.

gaelicsheep · 19/01/2011 21:11

Yes the latch is dubious - not sure baby is feeding at all - but do we really have to pick it apart? This is breastfeeding being seen. This is a good thing. Who cares if it is textbook perfect.
