I read Once In A House On Fire years ago - and was v underwhelmed by it.

FolornHope · 04/07/2010 20:06

you just Dont Care do you?

janeite · 04/07/2010 20:08

Nope - can't be doing with family angst stuff. It reminds me of those awful articles in women's magazines.

roisin · 04/07/2010 20:21

I don't like angsty 'real-life' stuff at all. I like desperately depressing films, with never ending misery and a high body count!

(I'm a Hardy Gal at heart!)
The Road was my favourite so far this year, though there was a faint glimmer of hope at the end which disturbed me.

Am reading stuff on Mathematics at the moment for some reason.

InThisSequinBraYesYouOlaJordan · 04/07/2010 20:22

Oooh Brooklyn is fab.

I like Lorna Landvik and Laurie Graham as well.

janeite · 04/07/2010 20:24

Love the idea of you being disturbed by the faint glimmer of hope. Dp and dd1 both loved The Road but it irritated me.
