Book Club?

Hi all! I used to be in a long running book club which folded when people moved away etc and I really miss it. I've tried various others and looked at the library ones etc, but they are all either in the middle of the day or too genre specific etc.

Would anyone here like to start a monthly club? We could read the book then discuss it here?

Just to mention in case you are looking for an in person book club too, I go to chapter 25, they are run in various locations, in the evening and not genre specific.

I'd like some structure in terms of how long after the book is chosen people begin posting about it and how frequently a new book is chosen. I've not participated in a text-based reading group before, but I don't think I'd like something to be just like Goodreads reviews. The thing I appreciate about book clubs is the opportunity to actually discuss aspects of the book with others. I'm not sure how that can get replicated in a forum.
ADDED: I'd also like voting on what books rather than just taking turns to choose.

I'm interested, but like pp I'd like to know more about the setup before committing.
For example, if you choose a book a month, would you have a date for when it could be discussed? (Say 2 or 3 weeks after it was chosen). To allow everyone to read and then take part in the discussion?
