Dh normally sources and fries the fish - I only rock up to eat them 😂- but he’s full on with work this week including Good Friday.

So I went and bought fish today and fried them - had second thoughts about the air fryer as we’re still getting used to it.

House smells very fishy but don’t mind as I’m looking forward to feasting!

Food holds the key to so many memories. The flavours of the bun and cheese especially took me right back to childhood today!

It’s interesting because I also baked hot cross buns but I think because they didn’t form part of my childhood like Easter bun I’m not as in love with them 😊

So true. Particular foods and seasons hold core memories and I'm thankful for all the memories and traditions that will hopefully be passed along.

Easter belongs to my parents, but roast beef on Christmas morning takes me straight back to Christmases with my grandmother, who passed almost 30 years ago.

My mom bought hot cross buns too, but they weren't as well received.

These are precious memories. I appreciate @MissUnicorn wanting to do the fish just like her granny’s.
