Hi! I have just got a very faint positive on an ebay cheapy and worked out my due date as FEB 2nd 2011! If anyone else has started a thread for Feb then I apologise and I'll come and join you over there. but if not then here goes....

sorry Knitter must read posts more carefully next time! It's so lovely when you see a newborn and knowing that you will have one of your very own to hold soon.

I say soon but Feb seems such a long time away. There is summer to get through, and Christmas, then boring January. It feels so unreal at the moment but I'm determined to enjoy this pregnancy as much as possible because it may be my last depending on our finances after LO is born .

I know - just as the warmer weather and pink wines and cold beers want to flow..... !

Nevermind - it will all be worth it if the pregnancy goes ok this time.

I'm suddenly really thirsty and if I sit down, I feel a bit queasy. It's obviously a sign that I should keep myself busier!

BrownPaperandString · 06/06/2010 20:41

Can somone remind me - when do the real hardcore symtpoms kick in - is it about 6 weeks or earlier?

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 06/06/2010 20:48

Yes BPaS it's usually around 6-7 weeks. Definately missing the alcohol-BBQ-late nights already! I've just started getting a metallic taste in my mouth this evening. I'm so excited I can't belive I'm looking forward to feeling so shit!

smallblackflowers · 06/06/2010 21:21

TBoM yep - extra easy all the way, and it is truly very easy

I started feeling queasy this evening, and have definitely been feeling more tired than usual. BF is starting to hurt too. My latest pg test (got loads of internet cheapies so might as well use them ) was really dark too. Got my GP appointment tomorrow, originally booked to get results of the blood test to look at why I wasn't getting pg......DH had a semen test 2 weeks ago too, poor chap!

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 06/06/2010 22:18

SMB LOL! I've got loads of internet cheapies too and have been peeing on them almost daily just to see the line darkening! I look at it several times a day too as I can't quite belive it!

I feel your pain WRT BFing, I'm trying not to flinch when DS latches on and I'm trying to walk a fine line between putting him off a bit longer and putting him off full stop. I don't want to do anything that might encourage early weaning on my part. I really need his strong toddler suck when I'm engorged and sore after the LO is born so I have to keep him sweet!

I'm off to bed now, feeling tired but I do have a cold so I'm putting a lot of my symptoms down to that for now. Goodnight everyone, speak to you tomorrow XX

Morning all

I feel that we should all go over to the other thread (there are more of them, and they seem so be clamouring for us to go over). When that thread is full we should probably move over to ante-natal clubs, but in its current location it seems to be attracting more newbies. What do you all think?

sbf

KnitterNotTwitter · 07/06/2010 10:25

sbf will head over to the other thread if there's more of 'em... although we will always be the originals!!!

Felt very un-pregnant yesterday - jeans seemed looser again round the waist etc etc... So this morning I did a test and sure enough got a nice dark line - phew! And now I feel all pregnant again :-)

GinaFB · 07/06/2010 11:08

Hello ladies!

How are you all!?

THBMOM how was your holiday!?! did you have a good time?

I am fine, I have been sympton spotting like mad! All the good ones too, bloating, constipation, (gaaaaaasssssss), can't handle the heat, SO HUNGRY..., boobs are huge.... all the stuff you expect to see! Its good really! Also suddely get very tired, especially in the afternoons! Anyone else?!

G xx

KnitterNotTwitter · 07/06/2010 11:42

ooh yes - I've flagged in the afternoons big time.... Saturday DS, DH and I slept on the grass all together for an hour (in the shade obviously!)

I'm remembering lots of things that I did when pregnant with DS1 that I should probably do now... totally forgot about the conception vitamins for example - whoops. Although I do eat lots of green veg from the allotment so I'm not worried about being short on folic acid. Also last time I drank goats milk not cows milk - my mum's tip - so it'll be off to the shops to get that in soon...

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 07/06/2010 13:54

Hi all feeling quite sick today as in my colour!

GinaFB we had a lovely holiday thanks, boosted my batteries, and actually lost 3 lbs as I just felt so full all of the time and couldn't eat. Are you feeling warm? I always feel cold and shivery in early pregnancy but heat up as things progress.

Shall we move over then? It's not fair and I protest as I started this thread first but if everyone is happy to do that then so be it.

OP posts:
KnitterNotTwitter · 07/06/2010 15:26

Well I'm on both threads still - i've done my best to take over the other thread - mostly because I'm having a very slack day at work today. I've got something to do that will take me about 1 day to do do it - and it's not due until the end of the week!!

tadjennyp · 08/06/2010 19:06

Sorry I haven't posted for ages - my Mum and Dad are here at the moment and I feel guilty sneaking time on here! At the moment Mum is cleaning my windows and Dad is hoovering out the car!

cler · 09/06/2010 17:36

my belly is big already.is anyone ele like that?

tadjennyp · 09/06/2010 17:51

Yes,my belly is definitely bigger! Has everyone gone over to the other thread, do you think? It's a shame we can't just merge them as that would be so much easier! Parents still visiting but have gone out for the day, so a little bit of routine is creeping back into the day!

smallblackflowers · 09/06/2010 21:39

I've defected.....it had to be done as there are just so many more ladies (and 1 man) on the other thread - come on over

kat2504 · 16/06/2010 05:11

Having now tried four different brands of home pregnancy test (some of them with two tests in lol), I can quite definitely say that the result is positive! Think I can blame the bank hol weekend for this unexpected surprise! Therefore only in fifth week, by my calculations due in the last week of next Feb. Will be first time, really can't believe it yet, but am soooooooo tired all the time at the moment and have developed major boob-ache!

missnatalie · 24/06/2010 21:44

Hi, can i join please. Im 7w and due Feb 9th. Have 1 DS who was born Feb 11th 2008. Had a EP in Nov 06 & a MMC in April 07. Had my booking in appt with midwife today so should get a scan date within the next few weeks .

Hows everyone feeling? I feel like crap. All day sickness (sickness started before i got my BFP), tiredness, VERY sore boobs and very hormonal. I cried today when watching the football because Italy are out of the world cup . Im not italin or even follow the football really so ive no idea what that was all about .

Wishing us all very healthy pregnancies and an uneventful next 7/8 months

Chloe55 · 25/06/2010 15:01

Can I join too please?

I was meant to be starting Clomid (fertility treatment) on my next period as apparantly I'm not ovulating. It would seem that this last month I obviously did ovulate as had 2 BFPs this morning - I have a 4 year old and we have been trying for 2 years so it seems it's been a long time coming.

Got very mixed emotions, shock being the biggest as we thought it was near on impossible without medical help, excitement, happiness, worry and bloody scared.

I kinda thought I was pg as watched the footie on wed at a pub, got pretty drunk as thought I'd have a last blow out and had the worst hangover ever yesterday which lasted well into the evening, I nearly threw up which is just not like me so I knew something was wrong or maybe very 'right'

Feels weird being on a 'Due Feb 2010' as was only 4 years ago I was on 'Due Feb2006'!

KnitterNotTwitter · 27/06/2010 20:05
