BB - way to make a girl cry first thing in the monring! what a lovely post!

(now, shall i even attempt to catch up??...)

mathshoneybunny27 · 26/04/2009 08:26

hey everyone...surprise has texted to say that 'Evie Anne was born today at 0053. She is 8lb 2oz. We are both fine xx'

Hurrah!

Will be back soon, when I have started to get the hang of this dealing with two children business! xx

BabyBolat · 26/04/2009 08:36

oooh just re-read it with all the typos - 4am feeds, iphones and posts don't work!!!

Am back to normal now - apart from to say Nutty, wow what a truly prolific labour! I bleme you - You started me off with the emotional stuff was balling my eyes out with the last post and tianha not crying for 5 minutes! I cannot even imagine what you must have gone through, I thought the 5 seconds it took Karahan to cry were horrid - well done you and what a lovely midwife - it makes such a difference compared to that horrid one - I have to say you have made me feel very luck (and not just for knowing you) but on the whole my experience was so blessed - had 2 great midwives and despite the pain was relatively quick and easy!

How soon can you get yourself to a consultant to get your back sorted?

Soon2be I hope that when I have a second baby and become a family of 4 that I have a lovely labour like you!!!

Lauren / surprise - any more movement?

frekkles · 26/04/2009 08:45

frekkles · 26/04/2009 08:58

oooh and surprise! brill! welcome lil evie x

soon2befamilyof4 · 26/04/2009 09:32

I am having BF problems. If anybody fancies helping, here is the thread I have started. Sorry to be breif but hungry baby is stressing me out and can't even think straight.

BoffinMum · 26/04/2009 09:48

Soon2be - Have suggested Biological Nurturing approach on other thread - good for nipples IME.

Frekkles - Press a bluebell today as a memento of your last pg days. Oddly enough you will miss them later.

bronze · 26/04/2009 10:11

Congratulations to all the new mums and babies.

/i feel guiltyfor not being on more, my only excuse is I have my hands well and truly full and we're still working on the house or actually the garden now.

BabyBolat · 26/04/2009 10:24

hello - i'm about to cry with anger am being judged by our visitors - if i hear one more time 'to be honest i wouldn't do that' and 'at the hospital we would never use this' or 'do you think you should try this' I think i may snap and dh is not supporting me at all! grr damn it tears have started!! the visitor works with new born babies so is an expert! i know there is going to be a lot of bitching about my parenting skills on their journey home!

Kara has really bad nappy rash have been putting boots version of sudocreme on it but its not helping and he screams if i try and leave his nappy off - its not hurting him as far as i can tell and he doesnt flinch when i put the cream on - he doesn't whinge with it and is still weeing and pooing regularly - feel so bad as its my fault he has it as i didn't change him enough the first weeks! any ideas what i can do! and of course got an 'ouch that looks really bad' comment when i was changing him!

oh and they stole our girls name

bronze · 26/04/2009 10:29

Do they have their own children too?

BabyBolat · 26/04/2009 10:35

pregnant with first - i may be being over-sensitive x very emotional too!!!

bronze · 26/04/2009 10:40

I would jut reply' its different when you have you own, you'll find out soon enough' in a slightly pitying patronising voice

Bleuravin · 26/04/2009 10:48

hello all
congrats on the new babies!
Hope everyone is managing to rest.
Meg and I have had a bit of a breakthrough... pain is the same,BUT nipples are not getting any worse any longer yah!

oh bb don't pay attention to anyone else... you do what's right for you and your very unique baby. hugs

as for nappy rash we're suffering too... we're using 'organics babies' lavendar salve and kamillosan salve. We've also gone back to eco disposables for a day and that seems to have helped.

soon2befamilyof4 · 26/04/2009 11:05

Talia sleeps really well at night, not sure if it is a bit too good? First night (in birthing centre) she slept from 10pm till 4am, had a feed and back to sleep by 5am and then slept again. Last night, I fed her when we eventually got to bed about 1am and she slept through till 8am?!! I am not complaining, but wanted to check if this is OK?

Bleuravin · 26/04/2009 11:18

From what my mw has said it's ok to let them sleep if that's what they want...as long as they're not jaundice...

soon2befamilyof4 · 26/04/2009 11:52

no, no jaundice at all. Thas good. I have enjoyed getting the rest! Shame DD1 still wakes in the night!

Schulte · 26/04/2009 12:25

BB - try Metanium for nappy rash. Works a treat.

brettgirl2 · 26/04/2009 14:15

Wow Nutty, that is some finale..... I'm sorry to hear that back/SPD is awful. FWIW I didn't have SPD while pg but I can feel my pelvis refusing together rather painfully now. Your body has been through real trauma - so you never know it may still settle down.

Bronze - sounds like a plan to me. I had my MIL telling me that Hannah was hungry yesterday (she was just crying because she was overtired). I felt rather smug when she fell asleep 10 minutes later and barely stirred for the next hour and a half BB just smile about the bitching, she is shortly going to find out about the difference between theory and practice!

Soon2b - as long as she is putting on weight OK then it will be fine. If she isn't then you will be told to wake her up.

BabyBolat · 26/04/2009 14:44

Thanks schultes just been to boots to get some - fingers crossed!! Already looks like a much better barrier / medicated cream - how u feeling?

Soon2be - the hospital made me wake kara but I now leave kara tip he's ready as long as they're putting on weight and not jaundice - enjoy the sleep!!

Bleu glad things are getting better with the bfing - the pain ease - still hurts me a bit but much more bearable!!

Visitors are gone and dh is about to feel the force of my frustrations!!!

BabyBolat · 26/04/2009 15:05

Tip he is ready even and the pain eases!!!

BabyBolat · 26/04/2009 15:17

TIL - til he is ready x
